Norwegian Tutor: Grammar and Vocabulary Workbook (Learn Norwegian with Teach Yourself): Advanced beginner to upper intermediate course

I agree that the Norwegian Tutor is a little more difficult than the exercises in the TY Norwegian books, but that is because it is a rigorous grammar course. Over the years, the TY courses have become ever more simple, when compared with the earliest editions, until they are little more than extended phrase books. I am happy to see that there are still people at TY who take language learning seriously. If the shoe does not fit, that doesn't make the shoe defective. A one star rating is not fair to the authors who have worked hard bring something new to language learning.

This says it is for the intermediate learner, but it is not a good next step for someone who has already done a full first-year course of Norwegian. It's very in depth, which might be great for some learners, but was not what was advertised.

Excellent! I agree with the previous reviewer, a one star ranking is extremely unfair. This is such an excellent workbook for Norwegian, and would be so even with no dearth of great Norwegian resources. I am so glad I bought this, it is a great supplement to my Norwegian language learning and will undoubtedly help to increase my skills.

As an ESL teacher for 30 years, I know what to look for in a grammar book, and this fits the bill. It’s very complete.

This is an excellent supplement if you're learning Norwegian on Duolingo. I'd also recommend The Mystery of Nils.

This is for someone who has a firm background in the language. I have been a serious student in the Norwegian language for several years and this is too advanced for me. Good reference book.

There has to be something to bridge the gap for those of us who are not quite beginners and not quite intermediate. This isn't it. Too advanced.

I found it extremely boring, black and white pages, no space between texts and some things are unclear, not worth the money. Two stars only because it’s one of the most comprehensive grammar books out there, in terms of contents.

Great book!

Don't often leave reviews on here but have found this book to be the perfect level of challenge and come away from each lesson knowing more and realising that even topics I thought I was competent on I could still learn more. If you're trying to advance beyond beginner, I highly recommend this book!

Fait pour les faux débutants, ce cahier est très bien fait et reprend les principales règles de grammaire avec des exercices ! Je conseille fortement, notamment si vous apprenez en autodidacte !
