Cartini Godrej Essential Kitchen Cleaver,1 Pc Set, Stainless Steel (AISI 420J2).

I wanted a cleaver knife as it is more functional in comparison to usual kitchen knife and you can do much finer slicing and chopping but i wanted it for domestic use. First i ordered solimo cleaver knife though the quality was good but that was too big for my daily use in the kitchen, though it seemed good for meat and joints. Then i ordered this godrej knife which is a bit smaller in size and seemed more practical for daily kitchen use. One word of caution that this knife is quite sharp, so if you are not experienced in using big kitchen knives then be careful with this cleaver. I am uploading the pics for your reference.

Very useful

the knife is very good, it has very good handle with rubber grip. sharp blade and big enough size to hit and cut the piece with force. dont be in an impression that such a knife would be easy to use, no its not unless someone posses skill to use it, dont you simple see videos online and hit it on your chopping piece, lolz... you may end up chopping off your own finger. it's not razor sharp, but its enough sharp. sharpening rod is recommended accessory for this knife... over all its worth purchasing, indeed value for money!

Product is good but not recommended for cutting mutton/fish.

The knife is sharp and has good grip. Have tried it on meat and chicken. Reduced my cutting time by 50%. Blade is thick so it is easy to chop small bones.

It's a good meat cleaver, though not heavy (around 200gms). Ok for chopping through chicken , but not mutton (would require more force) , however it is sharp , balances well , but prone to burring( the edge gets destroyed if it hits strong bones (like in mutton) . If you want heavy duty meat cleaving go for other brands

Worth for this price

Loved the cleaver. Excelent metal, has a good rubbery handle, can get a good grip to it, stays sharp even after many uses... its lighter & slimer than my other cleavers but serves my purpose well.
