There may be about 40-50 in the jar.

Q: Once they are opened, how long do they last when in the fridge?

It says on the jar “do not refrigerate”. I didn’t and they last months. They are too good to last long enough to spoil.

Q: Does it say what the natural color is derived from on the label? Many red foods are tinted with carmine which is natural, but I do not eat it.Thanks

No it doesn't specify, just says natural color. Here is the list of ingredients: cherries, sugar, Marasca, cherry juice, glucose, citric acid, natural color, Maraschino flavor.
