We are renting an older house that’s a little run down. We didn’t have any drain stoppers since they were all missing from the bath tubs upon moving in, and I have really long hair which is not a good thing in older homes with sensitive pipes. So I figure why not solve both issues with this drain stopper/strainer combo? The size is perfect, it fit snugly into my standard size bathtub drain. Functionality-wise it is sound: loose hair goes in the little basket to be removed later, and by pressing the stopper closed, it works like a standard bath tub plug and allows you to fill the tub. Very good value for money; at the local hardware store a similar device was double the price and looked much more flimsy because it was made of plastic which will definitely fall apart over time with consistent use. While giving my kids a bath earlier, the seal was airtight and no water was leaking out which leads me to believe all drained water will go through the strainer to catch all hair and gunk to be disposed of later, keeping drains clear and the plumber away. I am using one in each bathtub and strongly recommend one for anybody who has long hair and would like to keep the pipes clear of clogs. Update after roughly 4 weeks of use: these things clog up ALL THE TIME. But the thing is, I’m happy about that. In fact I’m THRILLED because it’s all hair and junk I can put in the garbage and it’s not in my drains clogging them up. So obviously they work very well and seal to my tub/showers really nicely. Nothing gets through except water and I will happily empty the little baskets out weekly so I never have to call a plumber again! Worth the price ten times over!

Very, very effective product. Does exactly what it is supposed to with a minimum of fuss. Super easy to install. Even easier to clean - I just pull it out when drainage slows, unscrew the top, and use a q-tip of remove the hair it catches. Have tried other solutions before, nothing has come close in terms of value for money. Three months now and going strong.

Good quality, easy to install, and effectively captures hair and debris. I am using it daily but find that water flows slowly out of the tub and emptying the small basket requires unscrewing the top and using tissue and finger to remove the debris from the basket. Hope to find another alternative that is easier to empty and does not limit water draining out.

I was very skeptical about trying this but my bathtub had been clogging up repeatedly. I am ver happy to report it does the job well. It drains slow, but that's because its holding on to all of the hair. I have a large tub and it drains completely in less than five minutes. To clean you simply pick it up and grab some of the hair that hangs out anf keep pulling until its empty. Replace and then you can rinse your tub with a quick drain. Holds water in well. My tub did not require the use of any of the extra three rings. It also looks nice. The quality is very high.

So much easier to clean drain. Quick and easy to install and clean. Works well and fits great!

It was a good item and the shape worked well with what I needed, it just wasn't the right size.
