These are well built connectors and a good investment if you care about clean connections for your AV system. As several reviewers have commented, getting the length of the exposed wire just right is key to ensuring proper fit of the screw bottom. It should be just enough to spread out over the tip of the screw on the plain area before the thread starts. If it is longer and extend over the thread, it will be impossible to screw the body and bottom together and if you force it, it will either spoil the thread or break the wire. Once you do a couple of them, you will get the hang of it. Also, I found that my 14 AWG Amazon Basics speaker wire was too thick to pass through the hole unless i stripped off the insulation. You have to apply enough force to push at least the tip of the insulation into the hole to ensure a snug fit. In conclusion, this is a great product at a reasonable price, but the installation require some time and effort. I'm very satisfied with the end result.

Je les ai acheté sans trop regarder quel type de fermeture ils ont. Au début je ne savais pas trop comment y attacher le cable (toujours eu d'autres types...), mais après une petite recherche sur internet c'était fait. Il faut dévisser les parties épaisses, ensuite bien couper le bout de câble, le passer par le trou, repartir de façon homogène quelques millimètres des fils sur le côté à visser, sans dépasser sur le filetage, et visser la deuxième partie dessus. Le câble de 4 mm y passe encore, avec un peu de résistance. Pas plus. Ce que je n'apprécie pas, c'est le fait que les "pointes" de ces bananes se dévissent, à mon goût, trop facilement. Si on bouge trop sans faire attention les appareils ou les câbles, la partie avant de la banane peut rester dans l'enceinte et le câble peut se détacher et aller se balader sous risque d'un court-circuit. Donc, avant de l'insérer, il faut bien vérifier et serrer toutes les parties.

This item is excellent! It seems to be a product that is manufactured well, unlike some similar products that look and feel inferior. Attaching the speaker cable to it was made easy due to its design. No need to solder or screw anything. The cable neatly tucks away inside and by joining the two parts together keeps it tight and in place. The pins themselves fit snugly into the amplifier speaker ports. They are also aesthetically pleasing. Too early to tell on functionality but so far they work well, no sound distortion or sound loss of any kind.

Before buying these our speakers would randomly cut out and I would have to go and make sure all the wires were plugged into the receiver properly. These were easy to use and seemed to be very well made. Now my speakers never have any issues. I initially looked at Best Buy to get these but they were asking for $50 + for visibly inferior plugs. Even the guy in the store said I should probably try to find them somewhere else, so I looked on my phone and found these on Amazon, showed the guy then ordered them straight away. Very Happy with this purchase.
