I love this little shaker!
My husband doesn't drink, so I was looking for something small to handle a single cosmo or a mixer and was hoping this would do the trick. Its perfect! I didn't need the extra bits that it came with, but at the price, it was so very worth it. All the pieces fit snugly together with no drip and it pours beautifully into the martini glass with no leaking. A great purchase! It even handles a double quite well for when the friends come over!

Very nice for the price!!
The new house we bought has a little bar area under the stairs that go upstairs so I themed my Christmas presents for my husband around the bar. I wanted to get a set of things like this, and they were all expensive for what we will be using it... And then I found this one for $10. I thought it would be worse than it is! it is actually pretty nice. I would pay some $25-$30 for it. It has all the basic stuff and the steel is thick and nice. He loved it, he won't ever imagine that I spent only $10! :)

Good starter kit.
If you're looking for something professional, keep looking. But this is a good basic set that will meet your needs if you're a casual home bartender on a budget. The materials seem fairly sturdy, and my only real complaint is that the "measuring" jigger doesn't have the measures labeled on it. The shaker is on the small side but enough for about two martinis at a time, and I've never had problems with leaking as another reviewer suggested. You really can't beat the price, and I'll probably opt for a nicer set the next time I get one, but I have a feeling I'll be happy with this one for quite a while.

This arrived on time and it has been useful. I make Manhattans for myself and friends
This arrived on time and it has been useful. I make Manhattans for myself and friends. My only other shaker is a "mini," meant to make one drink, so it's nice to have a bigger shaker. The metal quality is good enough for my purposes. I'm glad it is not glass. I had a large glass shaker and broke it. The shaker was the main thing I wanted, the price was reasonable, and the other things are bonus. I can always use another pair of tongs, another stirrer, another shot glass measure. I had to go on line to figure out what that thing with the spring is - kind of a juicer/strainer. There is a YouTube video (of course) which shows how to use it. After watching that, I can use the thing if I need it. Manhattans take maraschino cherries -- no juicing!

Items came in a see through box which was great for when gift was unwrapped
I ordered this as a Christmas present. I received much sooner than I thought. Items came in a see through box which was great for when gift was unwrapped. The quality is good it does its purpose. I assume that if you are a professional bar tender or mixer expert you might want something a little bigger or with more accessories. I really liked the set and might even order one for myself. The price was not bad at all.

Margarita Village
I purchased this Cocktail Shaker at my wife's request and then it began. It's been an unusually long and cold winter in WNY, and now entering into a cold Spring season- we've had enough! Margaritas have a way of changing your attitude and mental latitude (Jimmy Buffett?), and so they started to flow. My wife makes a Kicka!ss margarita using Rose's Lime Juice and Sauza or Cuervo Silver shaken and strained thru this lovely Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker Set. (Although the massive increase in our quality of life as a direct result of alcohol consumption may be a sign of a problem, it's not being addressed until it IS one!) The bond between our neighbors is better too! One day the wife and I assembled what we call "the Margarita Wagon" and wheeled it next door. 2 or 3 "Mexican Martinis" later, and we get the idea of careening ourselves off the edge of his hilltop down towards the fire-pit (yep, there IS an active fire) and stopping ourselves with the rope before hitting fire, or the creek. WooHoo!! 52 years old and covered with cuts and bruises, but because I was all loosened up, No hips were broken and not a sprained ankle all night! Highly recommend this product!! Disclaimer: Although the events depicted here actually happened, by no means do I condone this kind of behavior by amateurs. The events of that day were performed by skilled and experienced drinkers - DO NOT ATTEMPT!!

Nice Starter Set
Not bad for the for the cost. It is not made very sturdy, the metal is thin with sharp edges, not rounded. The round part of the spook came off in my hand when I picked it up. A little gorilla glue and it was fine. The metal is smooth with a nice shine, at a glance it looks like it may be a more expensive set. Nice starter set.

Not the greatest
After reading all the great reviews I was hoping this would be great buy. Everything seemed fine until I made a drink. The top half gets stuck so bad that I have to use a knife to pry it off. And no I didn't leave it sitting for hours. I immediatley tried to take it off and it seems like you'd need the jaws of life to remove it. Pretty rediculous if you ask me. Oh well. You get what you pay for. Also, it is smaller than I expected.
