My laptop bag dropped. The laptop worked fine for 3 days after that until I shut it down. When I tried to turn it back on it just showed the question mark folder. Searching the internet and using the internet recovery option made me realise it is not recognising my internal hard drive. I wanted to try changing the cable as I read in multiple places that most of the times it is the cable's problem and not the hard drive's. Ordered this ! and IT WORKED! I was able to completely change it by myself and had to visit the service center only to get 2 long screws out of the back panel They had gotten damaged.I had ordered another set of screwdrivers which helped as well.Go for this!

I was upgrading my old MBP mid 2012, tried replacing HDD with SSD but old MacBook data cable was not working with SSD. I tried reset NVRAM and all internet suggestions, finally decided to replace cable. The cable is of decent quality but works perfectly.Pros: cheaper than original, works perfectly like original.Cons: quality is decent, you get what u pay for.(personally it is not an issue for me)If you’re looking for cheaper alternative to apple original cable. This is the best. Go for it.

My laptop won't boot up got Question mark and blank folder error icon. HDD had stopped working when it was inside laptop on sata port. But when placed it inside casing, it was working and booting fine. Placed an order for replacement cable and received this next morning. I simply replaced the cable and attached my HDD, and everything went well. After that I also installed an SSD on my MBP 2012. Laptop now boots within 30 seconds and ready to use. Read write copy speed is also good.

Worked perfectly for my MacBook Pro (mid 2012) model. Installation was also a breeze, thanks to the screwdrivers provided with the cable. However the hard disk retainer clips do not have foam padding to absorb shocks. So had to swap them with the original ones. Otherwise this product is awesome.

Amazing, my macbooks hard disc was having issues, i took it to apple store, idk what they checked, they said me it would cost me 15k for hdd replacement, i was so pissed, then watched a youtube video where it showed its due to a ribbon cable, my macbook works like a charm now, with ssd installed its faster than ever ! Loved the product ! 5 stars all the way !

Product is good but packaging not good they don't provide any warranty or guarantee n when i receive product badly folded they send me in a packet only and wired folded but it's working fine unfortunately
