Bandai Hobby #155 HGUC Gundam Ez8 Model Kit, 1/144 Scale

The Good: The included stickers and a single black or gray gundam marker are all you need to make this kit look great. I really like the proportions and sculpt. The Bad: The back ankle armor falls off really easily The backpack gear that "clips" to the shoulders literally tells you to wrap a sticker around the bands to hold them onto the shoulders. If you want to remove it, you have to rip the stickers off (it comes with 3 pairs of them so after they're gone, no more backpack) This is by far the worst cut corner I have ever seen on any GUNPLA. Overall, if you like this MS, you should totally buy this kit. The cost is low and it is the newest 08th MS team product on the market as of me writing this review. This kit's design is much better than the first EZ-8 HG release.

This kit is simple and yet unique looking among RX-78 and RX 79 Gundams. It has good articulation and maintains decent quality for HG Gunpla. It comes with 2 beam sabers, 1 machine gun, 1 beam rifle and a short shield. It also comes with a parachute pack. I took a lot of pictures with different weapons and accessories. I even borrowed a short shield, weapon pack and GMCa-type cannon from RX 79(G) kit. A lot of fun!!!

A great Gundam model. Very customizable with different weapons and gear packs. This particular model only has the drop pack, but the rack can hold the weapons pack. If I had to complain about this version, it is that the chest cockpit was left off. But in exchange, this version comes with beam saber holsters in the calf armor. Box arrived in near mint condition as I have gotten boxes in worse condition from the local store..

Thought HG kits weren't as well articulated as their pricier RG and MG brethren? This bulky little guy is the exception then! Nice head sculpt, good range of accessories (I'd prefer it come with the usual backpack though, and a long cannon from the RX-79 would have been fun), great options for marking the kit up. My only real issue is that the hands on mine are loose - I end up bracing the gun against the shoulder or forearm, to help support it and hold it level.

This is a wonderful High Grade. All of Bandai's 2013+ kits are very detailed and articulated. You can get 90 degree or more bends out of the knee and elbow joints, which are double jointed. My 2 big complaints are 1: the decals are just stickers, not dry transfers or waterslides, so they will never look as good because of their outline. And 2 the ammo packs on the side skirts are not removeable for some reason, even though it would be very easy to do so, since the kit has two beam sabers with are stored inside of panels that are removeable on both sides of the calves. This kit comes with great color separation and colored stickers for parts that need to be painted, but I really recommend getting your hands dirty and painting this because it is such a wonderfully detailed kit. It has detail in parts that are not even seen, like Master Grade kits.

As a fan of robots but had had never dived into Gundam or it's models this one immediately jumped out to me because of it's more grounded appearance among all the wilder looking kits thanks to it's atypical for Gundam head, minimalist chest armor and SMG with folding stock. Putting it together was very easy, I used a pair of Hakko wire cutters that gave me such nice cuts from the runners that I barely ever had to sand down the gates nubs, the foil stickers were a pain to put on you have to be very delicate while placing them until you get them placed just right, transparent stickers on the otherwise hand were simple to place thanks to being more tweezer friendly and being placed on wide flat surfaces rather than very small rounded target areas. Articulation and detail are amazing for the it's price and its a breathe of fresh air from someone tired of the cost cutting the Transformers line has suffered over the past few years. This Gundam comes from a 12 episode series which I watched after ordering this kit and I recommend it as well.

The parcel arrived earlier than expected ,very good packageing , the kit itself is above average,being an HG 1:144, it has decals and the plastics appear of good quality, at first glance! It's clearly the ground type gundam user by Hamada in the final stages of 8th ms team, the backpack only is different form the MG's , it's green and houses a pair of thrusters...

I’ve built a lot of kits and this was one of my favorites. Could be because I am biased with the series though. A fun kit, great quality as always from Bandai Hobby. Must have for collectors.
