Exactly what we hoped for and expected. Solid metal. They take a few minutes to assemble, but it is easily done and the end product will last forever I would imagine. Very happy with these.

This is a completely new style. When I opened the package, I just saw thin metal sheets. There are dotted and cutting lines on the sheet. You can fold the metal sheet along the line. It is a cool concept with a certain stability.

While these are better than the plastic variants, they were a lot less robust than I was expecting, especially given their good reviews and EXPENSIVE price tags. They also deform/bend easily and the finish can scratch off if you’re not careful. Lastly, they are horribly packaged. The flat sheets of metal came shipped in an enormous box that damaged them in transit. 5 out of the six sections arrived bent and significantly scratched. I cannot 100% recommend these due to their high cost and lackluster quality.

This set of 6 metal magazine files are very easy to put together and they stand straight when made – they are very sturdy. However, I would not put this on a ‘nice’ surface as I think they would definitely scratch when you take things in and out. I have a piece of felt leftover from a project and I will either use that or I will put those little furniture pads underneath so they can still move easy but will protect the surface you put them on.
