This tastes okay. Not great, but it's not disgusting, either. It's shelf-stable (I wouldn't recommend storing it in a hot vehicle), and that's a plus. In fact, it's probably the one reason that people buy products like this. I suppose one could conceivably eat one during a power failure, either at room temperature or after setting (unopened, probably) in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes, possibly replacing the water halfway through when it cools off a bit. But, mostly, people probably pull it out of the cabinet and microwave it. It may fill the stomach of a very small child. Everyone else will likely want to eat something else along with this, or simply consider it a between meal... meal. Or pair it with a piece of fruit and call it a quick lunch, if you really need to get back to work ASAP.
