Historic knife value + Amazing Amazon shipping
The usual GREAT Amazon shipping, Thanks, guys. This particular model combines the Buck 110 length and lock-blade mechanism with a very sharp saw, very effective can opener, tweezers, and a small variety of other handy tools. The SAK Victorinox Icon is also the lock-blade release. This is my go to knife, when I am out and about. It has a great handle, for a sure grip, even wet. This is the final evolution of the lock-blade, in your choice of a straight or serrated edge.

Quality multi tool.
Great quality Swiss Army knife. Perfect size for camping or backpacking, but too large for edc. Nice grips and easy opening locking blade.

Not your typical swiss army knife
This is a very nice piece of equipment! Significantly larger and sturdier than the swiss army knife we all know so well. I purchased it mostly for the saw blade, which is of generous length and has the "complex geometry" of teeth we see on modern folding wood saws. This would be a useful survival knife (and I'm a snooty knife snob). Big, sturdy, useful -- just keep in mind it's a good 50% larger than you probably think of when you think of a swiss army knife. For me (as a survival knife with a saw) it's exactly what I was looking for and really never expecting to find. I will still carry a dedicated fixed blade knife into the woods, but I will be very happy to have this as a backup and as a saw source for small limbs when I don't have a proper saw. The awl and the tweezers are priceless in the odd circumstance you need them. I have to believe that most buyers will be pleasantly surprised by this knife.

Excellent tool for rope work and making nets
Likes: 1. Marlin spike - I've been using it a lot when I make cargo nets. 2. Shackle remover - Haven't used it on a shackle, but it is good for slipping onto and turning small nuts and bolts. 3. Awl - I use it when I stitch together thick material like canvas. 4. Bit adapter in handle. Good with long drivers and sockets. 5. Cap and can openers are usable. 6. Spring-loaded pliers - very well done using spring steel and a cam. 7. Blade length 8. Color - Very easy to see when sitting next to my other knives and multi tools Dislikes: 1. Awl is too short for practical use and very tight. I need to use the screwdriver bit to open it. Length could be added if they moved the pivot point more toward the middle of the tool's back. 2. Combo blade: I prefer a plain blade. If kept sharp a serrated blade would not be needed for cutting cordage. However, some people do prefer serrated and combo blades.

Solid, tho bulky; good tool
This thing is bulky tho useable. I cleaned some good sized mahi-mahi in Costa Rica with it. Has all the usual tools. Too bulky for pockets. Solid and quite sharp from the factory. Pliers are absolutely good enough. You couldn’t change a tire with this, but you could maybe set a plug in a flat and cut it off. I thought about returning it when it came because it’s so heavy. Didn’t and I keep it in the truck door pocket.

Great knife!
Very nice knife. The pliers alone are worth it! The lock blade and release are very easy to do and undo.

Absolute Beast of a Tool — New EDC Champion
The Victorinox RangerGrip 178 is amazing. It instantly replaced my EDC multitool and knife because it just does everything better. The blade is super sharp, the grip feels great, and the saw cuts way above its size. Honestly, the only thing that would’ve made it perfect is a pocket clip — but I fixed that by adding a Nite Ize HipClip Universal Pocket Clip, and now it’s exactly what I needed. This thing is a five‑star powerhouse.

First of all, it's a big tool. The knife and saw are fairly big. The knife can be opened with one hand using the hole provided to place your thumb. The blade is lockable. You need to press the Victorinox icon to unlock and fold the blade. Half serrations and half normal blade makes the knife very versatile and can do variety of cutting jobs. The serrated edge is very useful while cutting ropes or similar fibrous things. The saw is very good and does its job well. The philip screwdriver is fairly strong and it can help you unscrew really tightened screws or tighten screws pretty well. It has a smaller normal flat screw driver with a can opener . There is also a reamer with an Awl which can be used for making clean holes on belts and similar things and the Awl can be used for stitching. Though you need to learn to use it. There are many YouTube videos for that. The big screwdriver with the wire bender and opener is also useful. It also has a pair of tweezers and a toothpick nicely placed in the body. The body has very good grip and the large body makes it easy to hold and use the tools. Overall and excellent tool - just a little big and that may not allow you to carry it every where and also the knife can look intimidating for some given its size and shape. Probably not for carrying in your pocket everyday but for trips in the woods - an excellent tool.

At about 3 cm wide or over an inch it is a little too clunky for every day use but if your goal is to toss it into a small pack and go fishing I don't think you could do better than this! The only other real flaw in this knife I can see is that it's almost too perfect to use lol
