Fischertechnik ROBO TX ElectroPneumatic Set

Item arrived on time. It is very fun to build and educational as well. It integrates some interesting principles in electro-pneumatics, mechanics and robotics software. For the color sorting robot project, I had to modify the parameters of the color recognition on the provided software in order for the machine to sort the blue, red and white pieces separately. I found the software troubleshooting very fun and rewarding.Of note, the kit doesn't include the txt controller which I bought separately.

I had horrible experience with this German company. I wanted to start a class so I bought plenty of their products across the lines. Now, at Profi levels, more and more the models depend on the controller for them all to offer the best educational values. Day One the boxes arrived and the Controller broke. I reached out to both the seller and the company in Germany. They all pretended to provide technical support while all that meant was, "hey, there cannot be any problem. It should be working now". That's bad customer service.Another thing is that almost all of their products related to electronics do not have manuals for such equipment. You buy even a can opener and you get some instructions on how to use it property. If there is anything that is "okay" with Fischertechnik then it is the Building Instruction manual. It's okay, but it's all elementary. Comparing to other STEM educational packages ( I will not name names here), the "soft value" of post-purchase services from Fischertechnik is way too inferior. I will not come back to this company.

I'm sure this product could be a fun toy--my son was excited to get it. However, his face dropped when he found out 3 additional items are needed to make it work!!! Some software (on a CD, and PC compatible only), a power/battery set, and a computer controller currently selling for about 500 smackeroos on amazon. this puts the cost of this toy to just under 800 in greenbacks. this is crazy. It's going back pronto. My son says "ripoff".

The media could not be loaded.  Ich war vor fast 40 Jahren ein "fischertechnik"-Kind, ich hätte von so etwas geträumt! Obwohl sehr kostspielig, muß man fischertechnik hier zugestehen, wirklich ganze Arbeit geleistet zu haben! Das Konzept ist wohl durchdacht, in sich rund und macht echt Spaß. Zum Heranführen an die Software Entwicklung für Embedded Systems oder vielleicht sogar Industrie-Roboter Anwendungen ist das hervorragend geeignet!Die schlechten Rezensionen verstehe ich nicht ganz, man muß halt wissen, daß man den (sehr teuren, aber durchdachten und ausgereiften) TXT Controller zusätzlich braucht. Den kann man dann aber für andere TXT kompatible Bausätze auch verwenden. Das mindert doch den Wert dieses Baukastens nicht.Um das ganze didaktische Konzept voll auszureizen, kann ich nur empfehlen, das Begleitheft aus der fischertechnik e-Learning Platform herunterzuladen (https://www.fischertechnik.de/de-de/service/elearning/spielen/txt-electropneumatic). Auf dieser Platform gibt es auch für viele andere Bausätze Begleithefte, die es wert sind, sie durchzulesen. Sie erklären viele Hintergründe, wie etwas funktioniert, wie es in echten Anwendungen eingesetzt wird und konfrontiert einen auch mit Aufgabenstellung, die den Ehrgeiz wecken, sie selbst zu lösen.Natürlich kann man auch die vorprogrammierten Lösungen, die der TXT Software beiliegen, laufen lassen. Aber der Spaß ist doch, das selbst zu machen und auch zu erweitern. Die beiligeneden Lösungen verwenden wir als Referenz und wenn wir nicht weiterwissen, holen wir uns dort Inspiration.Der ElectroPneumatik Bausatz hat viele Aktoren und Sensoren, von denen ich als Kind geträumt hab: Kompressor, Magnetventile, Pneumatik-Zylinder, Lichtschranke, Farbsensor, Pulsgeber-Scheibe (für die Positionierung). Alle diese Bauteile lassen sich im gewohnten fischertechnik Konzept mit dem TXT Controller verbinden und dann von der Software auslesen/ansteuern.Im Video sieht man den Farbsortier-Roboter (mit einigen akustischen Erweiterungen) im Einsatz. Ich kann mir durchaus vorstellen, daß man mit Hilfe der Bauteile aus diesem Set auch andere fischertechnik Modelle nach Phantasie erweitern und automatisieren kann. Und dann gibt es ja noch weitere TXT kompatibel Bausätze, die weitere Sensoren und Aktoren mitbringen. Der Phantasie sind da kaum Grenzen gesetzt.Zugegeben, für unseren 8-jährigen Sohn ist das Programmieren noch zu langweilig. Er hat den mechanischen Aufbau des Farbsortierers allein gemacht und die Verdrahtung laut Anleitung. Programmiert haben wir es gemeinsam, das war ihm aber zu fad. Erst, wie sich was getan hat, war er wieder begeistert. Ich denke, das kommt noch. Der Bausatz ist eigentlich mit 10+ beschriftet.

Ne perdez pas de vue que le module TXT de Fishertechnik n'est pas contenu dans la boîte alors qu'il permet de donner vie aux différents montages proposés.Par contre, si vous êtes amateur de programmation de microcontrôleurs (Arduino par exemple), cette boîte permet de vous initier de façon ludique : les fiches techniques des éléments electro-mécaniques sont disponibles sur le site de Fishertechnik.

This is a great kit. Many interesting models to be made. Yes, of course you need a RoboTx controller! I especially love the pinball game. Great fun.

Attention! Il n'est pas indiqué dans la description qu'il faut acheter un boitier de commande à plus de 240€ pour que ce jouet fonctionne, ainsi qu'une batterie. Si vous regardez attentivement les photos, vous verrez qu'il y a un boitier de contrôle qui est un peu partout sur les différentes options de montage. Il faut savoir qu'il, n'est pas fourni ! Sur l'image principale de la boîte, vous verrez l'image de ce boitier avec indiqué "TXT comptaible". Il faut le savoir...!
