Nice upgrade to my sequoia
Fit and hooked up perfectly in my 2001 Toyota Sequoia with the stock Jbl amps and speakers. Quick harness adapter and it was in. Sounds great and touch screen in very responsive

Great features
I got this jvc unit after having several issues with a lesser brand. It has a lot of great features including dvd, equalizer, and bluetooth. The bluetooth works great with crystal clear calls. Very easy to install as well. At $160 it was a great deal. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $60 for a jvc/kenwood product. You will save yourself a lot of hassle.

Not bad, but may need a few bugs addressed
So this will be the 4th stereo I installed in my vehicle since I got it just over 2 years ago. After purchasing some feature heavy, cheap priced, low end, off brand Chinese products, I purchased a pioneer, a well respected brand made in china product which worked great, but the interface required so many touches for basic things that it made driving unsafe for me. This is the exact opposite. The interface is great. I don't have to go through multiple screens to simply adjust the volume. IN FACT! With a twirl of the finger against the screen you can raise the volume. I LOVE IT! If want to skip a track, lift my hand from the shift knob swipe the screen, not a touch screen button, but a swipe and the next track is up. However, switching between screens, for example going from the currently playing audio, to the home screen to select a new source, or switching folders on a usb drive, is like waiting in line at the DMV. That's the biggest bummer. I knew what short comings to expect with this unit feature wise. But I did not expect the delayed transitions. More than once I thought the thing hadn't received the command and then when I went to hit the button again it changed. Honestly I plan to email JVC and depending on their response I may exchange it. If not for the delayed response the thing kills. Sound quality is great. Dvd plays fine. Radio strength was STRONG without even plugging the antenna into the back. The lack of color button combinations is weak, but that was one of the compromises I expected.

Almost perfect.
Love the stereo! There were a couple things that didn't get connected that I'm gonna have to look at later. A couple things I wanted to edit for my screen I wasn't able to touch. And my connection to the stereo wasn't connected. Other then those issues, sounds great connected with my phone no problem. I love it!

JVC quality, you've got it!
This double din is everything g my wife wanted but didn't know she did, have not tried the rearview camera input and there are some cool features that she will likely never use but they are there just in case.

Great radio
This is my third JVC radio. All have worked great. The most important thing to me was the steering wheel controls, Bluetooth and rear view camera I use while towing my fifth wheel trailer.

no screen visibility, doesn't even deserve a star
Installed in 2012 Nissan Xterra. Installation was straightforward once I had the right adapters in hand. (also from Amazon) The installation instructions were clear enough and I followed Youtube video for dash disassembly instructions. I'm mechanically experienced, so it went quickly, but anyone with basic mechanical/electric skills could install it in abut an hour. Only installation issue was running the backup camera wire, but that will vary from vehicle to vehicle and could take some time. Functionally, the radio, bluetooth media and phone work just fine, with good volume and clarity through the factory speakers. But I CANNOT recommend this at all, and it gets zero stars for visibility and real world usability. Even with the screen at maximum brightness it is barely visible even when viewed straight on. In daylight from the drivers seat, the screen is not readable, and most of the time the screen glare is mirror like and the screen is invisible. The screen is high on the dash in and Xterra, but even when it was sitting on the console during installation, it was barely readable. It may work in some vehicles, but my take is that the screen just doesn't have the brightness needed to be usable in a vehicle during daylight. At night screen brightness is acceptable, but just barely. Compared to my GPS, it might as well not have a screen. It's a shame that an otherwise functional unit cannot even be seen in daylight. If you have a radio opening that is high on the dash, say above the middle of the steering wheel, get something else. I'm debating returning it, but not sure if the remove/replace with old unit hassle is worth it since I really only use it as a phone.

Not worth the money
Install was ok in my daughter's Mazda. I followed the directions, and wired it correctly then I powered it up, and it blew fuses. It blew fuses that I cannot understand, like the A/C dash controls and all the illumination. So I thought I wired it incorrectly, I pulled the stereo, and double checked my work and yep all wired correctly (not my first install). Replaced all the fuses and it powered up just fine and no blown fuses. No idea what happened there. Never did figure that out. Then I realized it is the exact same home screen/software as the Kenwood in my car, which I absolutely detest. So now I'm at a crossroads....I know this unit will fail as my Kenwood did. So do I keep it, or just pull it now and get something else? Functionality is exactly the same as the Kenwood except there is no power button. There is no way to turn this thing off without cycling through 20 different menu options. Don't waste your money on this one.. Spend a couple of extra bucks and get a Sony or Alpine. Avoid JVC/Kenwood. P.S. My daughter said leave it in the car until it fails then we'll upgrade.
