Works well on my Butcher Knife/Heavy Duty Cleaver that is High Carbon Steel. The oil has longevity, and the spray top controls amount used well making it easy to apply. It is also food grade oil so it is great for cutlery knives and minimizes rust.

nice oil, lasts a long time. Used on everything between my Carbon steel knives to my vintage Winchester. No oxidation after a year. Very generously sized.

Works well and it doesn’t appear to be diluted with water. It doesn’t freeze as easily as all that which is kind of my informal test for how much these oils are diluted. Effective as a lubricant and as a rust inhibitor

I practice bonsai, and have been holding off on buying protective oil for my tools. Having used this stuff a few times, I can see why it's the go-to oil. The bottle came with a spray pump, and I admit I had to pump it for quite some time before it actually came out. Once primed though, it produces a fine mist, which surprised me considering this is oil, and I'm used to a degree of viscosity. Not so with this stuff, the oil is probably the thinnest I have ever worked with, perfect for leaving a light protective coating on metal. I wish the pump spray was a bit easier to use, and I speculate that if I used it exclusively, I would waste a lot of oil. I've been dabbing a small amount on a cloth and wiping my tools after cleaning though and that seems to work great. Overall a must for anyone using carbon steel, or non-stainless forged tools.

Amazing product and well worth the purchase price. Currently being used in a variety of ways. But it really showed its class when applied to a paper shredder. Made it smoother and quieter when it’s in use. Quality of the oil - extremely good Size - okay. Wish it were a little larger Stickiness - does not stick too much the surface it is applied to but coats it well Sprayer - would have like a straw like on a WD40 can for precision spraying. Otherwise be careful it will spray it a wide area You generally get what you pay for. It’s made in Japan and top notch. Yes it’s a bit more money but the quality of the product is very evident when you use it.

Great for oiling my knives

I used the forged chopping knife once every 4-5 weeks. The knife got rusty after a month that I need to clean before using. This Kitasho oil stay and not drying up after weeks, is able to keep the rust away. It is not sticky and able to clean quickly before use.
