I can say that the recipes in this book are great as they contain many items you can easily find in a supermarket The book is detailed and extremely nice to hold as it feels like a quality book, the pages are nicely textured and is a great addition to helping me learn skincare making The book starts with an insight into bases and what you need to know before diving into the manufacturing which is of course important, it also explains the importance of compromise between preservation and making a product that is super healthy Overall I wasn't expecting much but this book is amazing

A wonderful and informative book. The pictures are lovely and there is enough room to add your own creativity to the recipes. The instructions are clear and ingredients and equipment is easily accessed. I get a lot of enjoyment out of this book and it's great there are alternatives suggested to make products vegan. There is plenty of background information and is a wonderful addition to anyone who is green iving or crafty.

Lovely recipes, I’ve made a few and my favourite by far is the face serum. I’ve made it lots for myself and family. Highly recommend. The only downside I’ve found is there are a lot of different oils and ingredients needed , not many recipes have the same ingredients so it becomes an expensive hobby. I guess that’s the nature of starting any new hobby though.

Very informative narrative in this book. The writer is sharing her knowledge and passion without too much jargon or patronising when explaining terminology. The recipe's and processes are clear, well presented and easy to follow. The writer is also very helpful in her recommendations without the reader feeling like she is promoting any particular product or brand as often many authors are not humble and write as if it's my way or the highway. I would highly recommend this book as once I began to read it I couldn't put it down. Throughout the writer is encouraging you to gain knowledge of processes and make your own choices regarding your products.

Great book for those starting off on the homemade cosmetic path. I have made 4 products from this book which explains everything in simple easy to understand terms. There is lots of good extra information on the ingredients and suggestions to get more information and supplies. The book has lovely illustrations and it is well designed and set out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to start making their own skincare products.

Lovely very informative book as long as I have a bright light focussed on the text. My eyesight is not poor. I do use reading glasses and have no problem with normal sized text. Putting text on a coloured background makes it even harder to read. I would give book 5 stars as love the very clear instructions, and beautiful recipes but I am finding it tiring to read.

This is a beautiful book, with a clear, clean layout and lovely images. The step by step recipes are easy to follow with minimal special equipment needed and there are extensive links in the back, to specialist suppliers. I’ve found the book most inspiring and plan to make more products in the near future. There is something very reassuring about knowing exactly what’s in the products that I use on my skin.

Beautiful book, perfect to make your own safe and healthier options. Not toxic chemicals. You choose what goes into your products.

It is a wonderful and very useful book. Great value for money.

Simple step by step reciepes for me a beginner. And can be simply altered to your liking for example switching one oil for another oil and so on. Also breaks down what elements play a roll in your finished product like emulsifiers, preservatives when to use exc.
