MY FAVOURITE GAME FROM HELVETIQ TO DATE! Oh my – this is SUCH a good Game! I’ve been purchasing many Games by Helvetiq recently; they’re SUCH good quality - and you never feel ‘short-changed’. They’re SO easy to learn – haven’t purchased a poor one yet, but this ‘GOTOWN’ just HAS to be our favourite. Not stopped playing since we got it! LOVE the surreal and ‘sublime’ colours and pictures used on the Cards; those brightly lit windows with sparse items in shadow – very atmospheric; all the more so for featuring no people! The artwork is really amazing for this one – but then they all are in these Games. Rules are really simple. There’s a lot more to this Game than most; loads of ‘Special’ Cards that have ‘abilities’; like using ‘Thieves’ and a ‘Super-Thief’ to steal Cards from other Player’s Hands; luring Dogs away from guarding Building Sites with bones! You can also steal Floors and demolish others’ storeys as they go up, using ‘Jack Hammers’ - or even worse; a ‘Wrecking Ball’! There’s the Builders Tea Breaks, when they’re busy having Milkshakes and Donuts to notice what is happening, which means they miss goes. I just cannot praise this little Game enough – a great deal of thought and imagination has gone into this one. I almost feel I want to purchase another copy – as a ‘spare’, or merely just to ‘keep’ in a separate Collection I have for my super favourite Games! Bargain little Games these – full of enjoyment. Don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but don’t they smell GORGEOUS? Not sure if it’s the paper, print, cards or boxes – or the lot! But they’re REALLY nice! If anyone’s purchased Helvetiq Games before, and not got this one – then you really need to get it – you won’t regret it! A lot of substance to this one! Have fun!

I’ve recently gotten into micro games as a sub genre of tabletop games. I’m always curious as to how much fun and replayability they can squeeze into a small box, without complicated mechanics and ridiculously small pieces for my shovel sized hands. Gotown is purely cards, but it’s a lot of fun and you need to plan your moves a little, so it’s not purely luck. It’s my first Helvetiq game, but certainly won’t be my last.

Interesting little game. Keeps you amused for a bit, but perhaps not as good as some of Helvetiq's other games

Great game !! Very easy to learn for all ages. Both my nephew (19) and my mum (63) are enjoying playing this card game with me.

When reading the instructions for this, it seemed really complex and difficult BUT it's honestly some of the most fun we've had with a game like this - it's as complex as you make it but excellent fun with 3 + people and unexpectedly had some really intense back and forth within the game. Brilliant work.

Easy to learn and fun 15 min game

Easy to play, fun and good for the whole family. Still trying to get my strategy going but I'll get there!

Este juego no es muy conocido pero es un juego muy sencillo de jugar, muy fácil de sacar a mesa y que tiene el tamaño de una baraja española o francesa con lo que cabe en cualquier bolsillo, te lo puedes llevar fácil a cualquier sitio y para pasar esas sobremesas es súper divertido. Es un juego para de 2 a 4 personas.

Une excellente marque de jeux de société de poche, au style et format très identifiables (cartes à poser, règles facilement assimilables, mécanique fluide, parties courtes). La seule chose dont vous avez besoin est d'une table, mais une table basse de bonne dimension peut suffire, afin d'avoir suffisamment de place pour poser vos cartes, sinon on se lance en 5min pour des parties de 10-15 min (jeu testé à deux uniquement, mais cela marche bien également en simple duo) avec plaisir. Bref, je recommande, bon rapport qualité-prix

Ho scoperto Helvetiq GOTOWN GO TOWN su YouTube e mi ha subito catturato per le sue dinamiche di gioco veloci e avvincenti. È un gioco di carte dal design semplice ma accattivante, che riesce a tenere alta l'attenzione durante ogni partita, che tra l'altro è molto rapida. Una delle cose che apprezzo di più è la compattezza del gioco, che lo rende perfetto da portare ovunque. È facile da capire, tanto che lo gioco spesso con i miei figli, a partire dai 7 anni in su, ed è diventato un nostro passatempo preferito. Consiglio questo gioco a chi cerca qualcosa di divertente, veloce e facile da trasportare.
