Because they are all Pozi heads like it says on the box. You can buy the Saxon ones in a Phillips head as well if that is what you want?

Yes they are perfectly fine anywhere you'd use other bits. I have them lying around the place as they are easy to spot if you misplace or drop another bit. You may find they last longer than provided bits depending on which drill/driver brand you are buying/bought. Most of the decent brands put in decent bits in my experience.
