This seemed like a good idea. And I had high hopes since the device is made of a robust plastic. It seemed like a quality item at first. But the result did not meet expectations. It came with zero instructions. I found some approximate cooking times in the images on the selling page. They were horribly inaccurate. I started with the smallest time and and gradually worked my way up, increasing just 15 seconds each. The first round had the eggs still entirely raw. The second round had them still mostly raw. And the third round had the yolks so well done they exploded and knocked the lid off the cooker while still leaving the whites extremely undercooked. The steaming liquid also made the mess a hassle to clean.

Worked great, could use a little instruction. Thank goodness there is some on Amazon.

It works so well we bought some for our family in South America! You’ll have to play with the number of seconds you use to get a perfectly poached egg, but the learning curve is very short!

After a few practice runs, I was able to make perfectly poached eggs with soft, runny yolks and fully cooked whites. It really speeds up the breakfast routine and makes the process much more consistent. The poacher feels durable, is simple to use, and cleans up easily. I choose to hand-wash mine, as I’m not sure how well it would hold up in the dishwasher long-term. Overall, this is a reliable and effective tool that works exactly as advertised. Once you get used to it, it delivers consistently good results and makes poached eggs a quick, fuss-free option for everyday breakfasts.
