Very Nice Light!
I am changing my review due to an error on my part. The lights that I thought had gone defective had actually lowered their brightness so low the bulb was completely off. Now why that happened from simply turning the light off is beyond me, but upon checking (just for the heck of it) if it would brighten up any when the green light was on but there was no light output proved that it was just dimmed all the way down. As a result, I changed my review from one star to five stars, and you can disregard the below original post.I've bought at least 7 of these flashlights, because even though they work great (when they work), almost every one of them has stopped working within a year. Out of nowhere, the bulb no longer lights up, and instead this green LED lights up on the side by the switch. I have no idea what that means, but I see others complaining about the same thing, and of course when it happens, it's always outside of the return window. It's such a shame too, because it's a very handy little light, it just doesn't last.

Great light !!!! only one real complaint
LIKEVery bright , The color of the light is a perfect balance it’s easy on your eyes it’s not yellow and not harsh white The light is fairly evenly projected in a wide area Making it much easier to see what you were working on or looking for It’s small and light weight but constructed well. The single button operation is intuitive The brightness is adjustable and reliable The magnets are powerful and securely support the light in a variety of situations The plastic clip has powerful clamping force and is very effective holding the light if I clamp it onto the chest pocket of a shirtDISLIKEThe overall design of the clip is my only real complaint. Although the plastic clip seems durable and has a strong clamping force The jaws are not aggressive enough to securely and reliably hold the light in place if clipped onto the pocket or waste on my jeans or work pants pocket. I have also found The jaws were not reliable when clipped to my belt The light also has a hook that is built into the clip and I found that it often hooked on objects if I brushed by them Although the rubber seal for the USB charging port was well made and it Sealed better than most, it inevitably fell off after a few daysOVERALL OPINIONI’m a handyman Carpenter and light nerd and I DONT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!!Even though I don’t like the clip ! the light itself works so well it’s still deserves five starsIt’s definitely illuminates like a flood light however it seems partially focused so that the light is directed evenly and not wasted Making things so much easier to see The magnet is strong enough that it can be mounted in so many different and surprising ways like sheet rock corners and Even an occasional nail pop.

Best designed light I have encountered
I don't write reviews on every product I buy, only on ones that are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad and worth sharing. This little light is exceptionally good.First thing noticed is it seems to be built very well. No nasty machining or casting marks, all the pieces fit well. Very simple to use, just on and off. No "hold this button to get to desired setting" or "push this button three times for strobe" or any nonsense besides needing light or not needing light. Micro-usb rechargeable is always good. The light output is perfect. WAY brighter than many lights I have used *advertised* at higher lumen outputs than this. The shape of the lens casts a pretty wide area, I would guess around 120 degrees. Usually this would reduce the range of the useable light, but the output is intense enough that even with the wide angle the light is very useable within any ranges you would reasonably be working within. The clip/hook/magnet on the back is also very efficient. Magnets aren't so big they get in the way of the clip or the hook. Hook isn't some chintzy thing hanging off the end of the light. The clip has an above average strength spring and grips nice and tight to whatever you clip it to. The light is also mounted at an angle that if you clip it to your shirt collar, it illuminates everything in front of you but doesn't get in your eyes. This is by far, and without question, the most well-thought and efficient to use light I have ever used. And in the middle of the night, in a pounding rainstorm, this light was the only thing I owned that didn't fail on me. I fixed my car both times it broke down on me that night using this light. I searched through a ditch with this light. Without this light, my night would have been much tougher.

Very Useful Utility and Emergency Lights with Strong Magnets
I bought a red "worklight" model in October 2018, and it's still going strong (April 2024). I bought it to keep as an emergency light if/when the power goes out. It magnetizes very well onto the fridge or range hood for a good area light. But I also clip it onto the front of my coat collar like a headlight when I walk at night where there are no sidewalks.I'm very pleased with the Nebo Slim. It's powered through a rechargeable lithium potential battery. Like all LiPo batteries (those in cell phones, Nintendo Switches, and every other device these days), the battery holds less capacity as its life wears on, so you should keep it charged between 40% and 80% to preserve the longevity of your flashlight's battery the longest. (There's no way to know how drained it is, you just have to guess.) I haven't noticed any lower capacity in several years myself, but I don't use it every day.I bought two more in April 2021 to magnetize to pipes and such in the basement if/when I'm looking at the water heater, furnace, water softener, etc. Amazon currently has three models listed for the Nebo Slim: "2018 Model," "First Generation - New," and "Worklight." I couldn't get a good answer to what are the differences among the three but the only differences I can see are that the First Generation - New and the 2018 Model have textured/vulcanized rubber under the clip for a greater grip, and another round magnet on the back, which my worklight doesn't have.
