I love popcorn as a snack and nothing beats movie theater popcorn. I’ve yet to find a microwave bag popcorn even close to. Add to that my allergies for some of the common oils used in off the shelf popcorn and my options are limited. So I invested in a movie cinema style popcorn machine for myself. This butter has been fantastic! The taste by itself is excellent. No crazy artificial colors or flavors. The “butter flavor” does come from real butter, just the stuff that gives butter it’s flavor. If you want the genuine cinema experience grab this and Gold Medal - Original Flavacol® Popcorn Seasoning Salt. This combo with your popcorn is everything you would hope it could be! Even without the salt this still gives you some of the best popcorn you’ll have.

This popcorn oil is fantastic. When I pop popcorn I want that great theater taste and smell. This delivers. I melt the oil and put in 3 kernels. When they pop I add the rest and cover my pot. I make sure all kernels are sitting in oil. It only takes about 2 minutes to pop a 1/3 of a cup which makes a big bowl for us to enjoy. I just wait until the popping stops and remove the pot off the burner. With high heat coconut oil burned kernels are pretty much eliminated. I store this in the refrigerator and use a fork to break off about a couple tablespoons for each use and the oil stays completely fresh. This jar will pop an enormous amount of popcorn. I use special "popcorn" salt, and you can add a small amount of butter if desired. Highly recommened. Delivery takes a bit of time, but so worth it!

This popcorn oil definitely creates that movie theater popcorn taste paired with the FLAVCOR popcorn salt it makes popcorn magic! Takes a little bit of time to get delivered, but totally worth the wait and almost finished with my first jar will be ordering again!

This stuff makes great popcorn. Kernels pop nicely, it is super tasty and gives a nice yellow tint to popcorn. It will stain anything it touches and can be a little messy. The top layer was easy to scoop out and it gets harder and chunkier as I go down. This is probably from heating, separation and cooling. Not a real issue. This and a little popcorn salt is all that is needed.

Since Odell‘s oil factory burned down, finding a real movie popcorn oil to pop corn is impossible. This easily beats out Wabash Valley Farms theater oil by a mile because it doesn’t have a strange aftertaste like Valley Farms does. This is the best oil I have tasted that genuinely matches Theatre popcorn and also adds a delightful color with genuine butter flavor. I struggled really hard to find ingredients to get that genuine Movie flavor that so many promised but don’t deliver.

OK, let me start by commenting on a few of the negative reviews: First, regarding it being liquified - Coconut oil has a very low melting point. It has been shipped. Odds are it will be liquified. Put it in the refrigerator for little while it re-solidifies. Not rocket science. It showing up liquified/melted is in absolutely no way harmful nor reflects on the product itself. IT WAS shipped, on trucks, warehouses, etc. Sometimes the shipping company damages the packages (leaking) that is not fault of the product. Nothing aggrivates me as a consumer than to read negative reviews on a product that are fault of Shipping company not the product. Go review Fedex instead for God's sake. As for the one or two that said it was tasteless - They must have absolutely no sense of smell or taste. OK, enough about that. I for years have strove to achieve the authentic movie theater flavor/smell. Researched, read, and then experimented over and over. First, key to REAL Movie Theater popcorn is 3 things - Oil, Flavacol, and POPPER. Oil has to be quality Coconut oil with Beta Carotene (butter flavor). Seasoned with Flavacol. Coconut oil is pretty flavorless, it is the Beta Carotene that gives authentic popcorn it's unique flavor and auroma. I began testing with this using pans on stove, then the dome type stirring poppers, then cheaper small Theater style poppers, and finally stepping up to more expensive theater style popper. Each got you closer and closer. Stove top I began to taste/smell the difference and was not disappointed. Problem is the kernals sit in the oil after popping no matter how much you shake etc. So, I went out and got the typical Dome/stiring type. Again, even closer, just not exact. So, I bit the bullet, bought a smaller theater style. Was pretty close but something still not exact. Plus, the smaller plastic ones, well they just are overpriced and I think I got 5 uses before it broke down. So,, then I bit the bullet got a nice glass/metal larger one. Used Dutchman's oil, Flavacol, and bammmmm dead on!! So, besides the Dutchman's oil and Flavacol the final secret is how it is popped. These type of poppers the kernals fall out after popping as to not sit in oil too long. Once they fall they are under a heat lamp. And that my friends is the final secret. After popped and light dusting with flavacol and perfection. Dutchman's Oil is all I use, never disappointed.
