Sooo much heavier a wire than what came with the underground system. I attached 3/4 of the original wire to my wire fence, and the rest went in the ground. Within a month, the part attached to the wire had failed, something keeps biting through it, don't know if it's the smell or the color, yellow or orange, but something likes it. I splice and tape it together. Not my dog she would get zapped. I ordered this and it is a very sturdy black, wire. When the original underground part fails, which I'm sure it will, I will replace it with the Extreme Dog Fence Wire.

I bury this wire for an underground dog fence. I used 20 gauge three different times and I was always fixing brakes in the wire. But where are the wire and then also running above ground and places. This wire is a lot stronger with better insulation so I don’t foresee any brakes in this wire.

It’s wire. Heavy gauge for the dog fence and was the best price I could find.

I liked that it seems like very heavy wire. Rolled out nicely. After rolling it out, I noticed there were numerous (>20) breaks in the plastic sheathing exposing the copper wire (over about 400'). Not sure if I just got a bad one or this one was very old. In any event, I am having them send a replacement. We will see if it is up to snuff or not.
