Love these for my lunch
I love these bento boxes for my own lunch. I can plan my lunch with the measured compartments for healthy eating. My coworkers have mentioned how cute it is which I agree. Ensure a tight seal before closing and it works well. Great quality and I’m happy I purchased them :)

Great product-Gave pros and cons
Bought these bento boxes for my preschooler and kindergartner for their lunches so we could get away from packaged, less healthier options at lunch. They love them! We get creative with what we put in there and the kids love the variety that the provide. I gave it five stars because it is a great product and we have been using it for several months now. There are some pros and cons:Pros: It allows a variety with the multiple slots, the thin slot fits a utensil (included or you can put your own) or a cheese stick. It is a good size for my 4 and 5 year old, it’s leak proof, and it fits in their lunchbox (I would measure your lunch box first, that’s what I did, but even though one was smaller, it fits. You just can’t put much else except a juice box in there)Cons: Because of the seal that makes it leak-proof, it is tough to open (even for adults sometimes). It is good, you just have to be careful not to send things flying. Also, you have to let it sit out to dry so that the little books get dry. Of course. Size could be a con if you don’t measure.Overall, great product for our kids. Just with a learning curve. Colors are great and as shown in picture!

Definitely not dishwasher safe.
So, first off, I love these lunch boxes. I got rid of our Bentgo boxes after some quality issues and purchased a 4 pack of the larger Kinsho kids and a 2 pack of the small ones in addition to the 2 large and 2 small I already had, they're the only ones I use now. Things I love:- Good portion sizes- Lots of sections for variety- Main section is large enough for a sandwich cut in half- Easy for my kids to open and close- Easy to handwash and keep clean- Lightweight- Not a lot of partsThings I don't love:- Not dishwasher safe- The lid will warp if it goes through the dishwasher (see picture). The boxes are a lot harder to close if the lids are warped, although they are still leak proof.Overall, I highly recommend these.

Nice product
We have been using these daily for school for about a month now. I hand wash them after each use. They are a little difficult to open and close, but my 6-year-old and 8-year-old are both able to do it by themselves. The lids are beginning to bubble up a bit, so while the compartments did not leak into each other at all when we first got them, the big one does now. In fact, we put rice in the large compartment yesterday and rice kernels ended up in all the other compartments. It actually seems as if the smaller compartments do a better job at staying closed though. I recently put jello in one of the small compartments and it did not leak. Perhaps the big compartment isn't as tight because it's larger. Overall, it's a nice product. I wouldn't recommend it for liquids, but it works great for your typical lunchtime sandwiches, wraps, fruits, and crackers.Update #1: We have now been using these for over half the school year. They are still holding up nicely. We do not use them for liquids, but we use them for everything else. The lids are a bit difficult to put back on, but they are not hard to take off. My six-year-old tells me that she sometimes asks for help from her teacher to put the lid back on after lunch - though she can often do it herself. She never needs help removing the lid though. It looks as if these will make it through the entire school year.

Great bento box!
I love these containers. They are of good quality that are sturdy and well made. We use these daily for my kindergartener's lunch. When I first received them, I handwashed and they opened and closed with ease. Per other readers, I spent some time doing this in hopes of loosening it up for my 5 year old. After running through the dishwasher, they were much harder to open and close. I used some oil to grease the seals and was able to open/close with ease. It no longer completely aligns but I'm ok as long at is leak-proof. I also find that if you cut your sandwiches in half and stand them up, it actually helps the lid pop off a little easier. My daughter has had no issues with opening her container. I had to teach her how to line up the lid to close it. Since the first time, it has been coming home closed as well with no mess.

Good for Portion Control
I love the concept of this bento box but unfortunately the large compartment doesn’t even fit a full sandwich and is not deep enough. It is pretty big and great for portion control, it needs a redesign in depth and compartments. It could be made a little more compact, the bento box it self is pretty large and would need a large lunch box to keep it in. The lid is also a concern I have noticed that it was started to peel up and I haven’t even used it yet. I bought it because of the individual sealed components and liked that my food was not going to touch and leak out and didn’t have to buy sets for my lunch. This was originally going to be used only for cold lunches but now I am unsure of keeping. This is great for kids but definitely not for me. I’m going to stick to portioning my lunch into deli containers as I found that I can fit much more and have greater variety, while it being leak proof. I have only used this once and do not see myself using it again as I can’t microwave individual components of my lunch.

Starts to not be fully leak proof
We loved these when we first got them because they were fully leak proof and we can put things like applesauce in without worrying. But then as you can see in the picture the corners of the lid started to buckle and they will not sit flush with the box which leads to leakage. We always washed it by hand and never in the dishwasher.Because of the corners, it starts to pull on the latches and the material is starting to tear a little. The snack box you can see above does not have this problem. Probably because the size is smaller so there is less pull on the latches.I would probably look elsewhere for a bigger leak proof lunch box, but I do love the snack boxes.
