Shear Revival Gray Ghost Cream Pomade – Strong Hold Hair Styling for Men – Matte Finish, Lightweight & Vegan Formula – 96g

Funny strange product for me this one is. The first time I used it I thought I'd found the perfect product. It was very easy to scoop out and when you first apply it (dry hair for me) feels very tacky with an incredible hold and great control. However, after 15-30 minutes the initial hold fades and you're left with a much softer feeling product in the hair, albeit still with good hold. Can't work out if I like this or not. Finish is nice, not waxy feeling and feels quite light in the hair. Very easy to re-work and can be used as a pre styler. Easy to wash out but makes hair feel a little dry. Overall I think this is a very solid product, and I believe it's vegan which is great - but it wasn't reliable enough for me. Had some very good hair days but equally pretty average ones. Would I buy again? Maybe, but I'd equally like to try some others that claim to offer similar performance. Compared to something like Reuzel Extreme Hold, I would say this is a superior product in every way other than the hold. Reuzel is a much stronger holding product but GG wins in every other area and feels like a higher quality product overall.

The smell is really fragrant. If you like a citrus scent than it’s for you. The hold is good, but I prefer a more gloss look. Will definitely buy this brand again.

Shear Revivals Gray Ghost has left me very impressed. I was excited to try a product that promised a strong hold without weighing down my hair. The reviews were fantastic on Reddit. The cream was easy to apply, with a smooth consistency that made it simple to style my hair into the messy, textured look that I was going for. And once I had it in place, it stayed put all day, even in windy conditions. I don’t have to worry about my hair losing its shape or looking messy by mid-day, which is a big plus for me. It doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue behind. My hair feels soft and natural, with none of the buildup or residue that can sometimes be left by other styling products. I like to switch up their hairstyle often, I appreciated that the product was versatile enough to work well for a range of different looks. Overall very impressed with it and will be sticking with it.

Personally for me its three stars for my very fine blond/brown hair. Shear Revival are a fantastic brand and I have use almost all of their products over the years: Gray Ghost, Northern Lights, American Gardens, Upstate Blues and Crystal Lake. This has great natural ingredients but was a bit too heavy for a natural push/slick back (5inches on top short sides) and it caused my part to split. I did find that I needed a little shampoo to remove most of it at the end of the day. Personally I get better results with Northern Lights as although its slightly less hold it restyles better during the day and makes my hair look thicker. I think where Gray Ghost would excell is for a side part style without volume if that makes sense but then again if you don't have very fine hair it might work better. Overall a great brand and lifelong Shear Revival customer, it just didn't work out this time.

A really nice fresh lemon scented pomade. Nice medium consistency, not runny and not too hard, just right to rub on your palms and apply to the hair. Holds great too both applied with wet or dry hair. When applied dry it gives a natural look, not wet or shiny. Best pomade I've used to date.

I've been using this pomade for 2 years now. So happy I came across gray ghost after sampling so many brands and creating a pomade graveyard in my bathroom. I love this one when you open it it hits you with a creamy, citrus, botanical smell. The texture is nice too if its too thick just add a little water. It washes out easy and it's vegan. I have very thick hair which I like to wear in a slick back, this is definitely the one for me!

It feels like a slow drying superglue that's difficult to apply to hair. Your hands will get stuck and end up pulling your hair out along the way. Not worth the hight price tag. Look elsewhere.

What it says in the description is really true, been using this product in a month now and I loved it!

Excellent product. Low shine and strong hold, but not too strong. Your hair will stay in place without feeling stiff as board. No issues washing product out. Would say mild to almost no scent. Only need to apply a little. Switch off between this and shear revival crystal lake. Used to use American crew forming cream, but not a fan anymore given the inconsistency.

J'ai essayé divers produits depuis que j'ai me laisser pousser les cheveux - argiles, pommades et pâtes - et c'est le premier produit dont je suis entièrement satisfait. Annoncée comme une pommade crème légère, elle est plus épaisse que je ne l'imaginais dans le bocal et plutôt adhérente quand elle est appliquée, mais elle est facile à coiffer. Elle tient très bien toute la journée et peut être restylée. Je trouve l'odeur agréable mais assez puissante à l'ouverture du bocal, mais lorsqu'on l'applique, elle s'atténue considérablement pour devenir beaucoup plus subtile. Et, en plus, les cheveux ont l'air naturels - un faible lustre, plutôt que complètement mat. Elle fait tout ce dont j'ai besoin, et elle le fait très bien.

Scrivo questa recensione per “aiutare” chi come me, con capelli doppi e folti è sempre alla disperata ricerca del prodotto ideale per domare i capelli..La crema ha un buon profumo (non molto invasivo) e non lascia residui (se ovviamente lavorata con le mani bene).. tenuta forte ma non indicata se hai capelli fini (perché li spezzerebbe) e se vuoi una cera “poco invadente” (che non cambi il capello).. comunque nel complesso cera (o meglio crema) naturale (inci molto buono) con tenuta medio alta e che nn sporca eccessivamente il capello (non esagerate!). Finish in realtà non molto naturale (se esageri li sporca ed appaiono lucidi). Qualità prezzo nella media.
