Beautiful Build Quality
There is not a muffler made (for a Jeep) that's worth nearly $700.00, but I paid it, so I suppose I shouldn't complain... The build quality of the muffler is incredible. The finish looks like it will last and not burn off anytime soon. Beautiful welds and no sharp edges. A nice, clean finish and a solid, hefty feel when mounted up. The tips are not even/flush when mounted, but that is dependent upon the pipe leading back to the muffler. If you are doing a Saturday afternoon, driveway muffler swap and do not have the ability to make exhaust bends, you might be stuck with the uneven look. Nothing that I could do made the tips extend out the back evenly. I'm not worried about it. Maybe someday if the muffler is still presentable and functional and I replace the exhaust pipe, I'll work with it. Otherwise, it's uneven... I installed new hangers using Vaseline to prep (it won't attack rubber and will dissipate). Everything went into place fairly easily. Make sure to clean-up the end of the exhaust pipe and smear some (copper-based) anti-seize around the end. The clamp that comes with the muffler is high-quality. It will squeeze down nicely. Either I got used to the sound after a week or two, or the muffler finally burned in, but it seemed to mellow after a few hundred miles. I think when you first install a sound device (high-flow muffler), you squeeze the throttle down and wring out the gears a bit more. That affects mileage. After you settle down and/or outgrow the thrill, MPGs do seem to improve slightly. I installed a Flow-Master CAI a week later and noticed a slight fuel mileage improvement. The sound also seemed to be fuller and not quite as "out-the-back." Yes, it droans! Anything other than factory is going to droan. It's just a matter of whether you tolerate the sound, or not. I like the sound, but would not want to hear the sick-cow sounding shifts of an automatic transmission with this muffler. I enjoy the fact that my Jeep is a manual shift and that I can control the sound-effects with the throttle pedal. Just remember, it's like having headphones on... The sound you are hearing is in your head and will follow you everywhere you go. On the outside, the muffler isn't really that loud. After you go a few hundred feet down the road, no one can hear you and they don't really care about your Jeep's muffler or how cool you think it is. The black color looks good and the tips have a nice angled cut. MagnaFlow seems to make high-quality products. This set-up is a perfect example. (2010 2-door Jeep Wrangler Sport, 3.8L, manual).

Very happy with it so far, love to get on it and hear the deep growl!
After researching exhausts for my 2014 JK 2 door and reading reviews, I went with the 15160 and I'm glad i did. This exhaust looks and sounds awesome. There is absolutely no drone at cruising highway speed from 55-70. You'll get a growl at start up, and a nice idle that is actually pretty quiet. Where you really hear this exhaust is when accelerating and at speeds between 0 and about 45, or if youre passing someone above that. Installation was really easy, actually took about 5 minutes, however getting the old muffler off was a pain in the a$$. I watched someones video who when he loosened the one clamp between the muffler and the exhaust pipe, it came right off. I separated the clamp all the way, even banged on the pipes, nothing. I had to get a metal chisel and wedge it between the pipe gap (without trying to damage the exhaust pipe) and on top of the muffler pipe to create separation, almost gave up. But finally it came free. There are two rubber muffler hangers, the passenger side is nearly impossible until you not only undo the driver side hanger, but get the muffler loose. Once its hanging down on the driver side, youll have the room to move the muffler to work it free of the hanger on the pass. side. The new muffler is a breeze to install, hang the passenger side, attach the pipe, hang the driver side.Ive read others where they said it hung uneven or whatever, but mine hung evenly and damn near perfect. Very happy with it so far, love to get on it and hear the deep growl.

A great deal with a nice sound plus a super cool look on my Anvil JK!
I installed this on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 4" lift and 24,500 miles. It arrived very well packaged and much a week quicker than predicted! I read most of the reviews and purchased the Lisle exhaust remover pliers for $20. In hindsight I would just use that $20 to buy two new rubber hangers and just cut the old ones off. I used the pliers and my 15 year old son and with some WD40 we managed to get the driver's side off. We had lots of trouble with the passenger side and ended up attacking the exhaust pipe - removing the old clamp (which is tack welded to the muffler pipe) and sliding it off. This took a lot of PB Blaster and rubber mallet but it eventually came off. Once this was accomplished it was a simple task to wrench the passenger side off the hanger. Installation of the new muffler was simple. Hooked into the passenger side hanger, slid the exhaust pipe on and then the driver side hanger followed by tightening the clamp on the exhaust. I followed the advice of leaving the foam on the tips until I had it installed and I'm glad I did. I did not notice any difference in one tip sticking any farther out than the other. Both of mine lined up evenly and barley stick out under the bumper - maybe 1/4". I am very satisfied with the look and sound paired with my cold air intake. I have a soft top and don't notice any droning. After shopping around several popular 4X4 retailers I paid $430 at Amazon versus $580 elsewhere. A great deal and a super cool look on my Anvil JK!

Love this high performance muffler.......
REMOVAL/INSTALL-So I didn’t make a video of the install, but it was fairly easy but for me it was a bit time consuming. Mostly because it took me a long time to get the old muffler off of the rubber hangers and then ultimately pulling it off. I used a fair amount of WD=40 which helped out a lot. I didn’t use the rubber hanger pliers, but I gotta believe that they would have helped. The drivers side rubber hanger was the easiest, but the passenger side rubber hanger was really tough, partly because it was located in a tight, tough spot. The metal bracket holding the exhaust on, came off pretty easy for me, again with the help of a little WD-40. Once the old exhaust was removed from the rubber hangers, you can twist the muffler up and down while pulling to get it off. I took my time and too breaks to try different things, but it ultimately took me a couple of hours to get it off. Again, a bit tough, but it eventually comes off. Installing was 100% easy. Took me like 15 minutes. NEW PERFORMANCE MUFFLER-Great Muffler! Sounds great. It certainly enhances the sound of the Jeep. Not too little and not too much....just right. It has a nice throaty sound but isn’t too loud. Really love it. There are other cheaper one out there, and I cant vouch for their quality or lack of. Not knowing a lot about mufflers, I did quite a bit of research and relied 100% relied on the reviews. This Magnaflow had great reviews and the quality seems to be top notch, so I thought I’d spend the extra $’s. I gave it 4 stars for vale for money because maybe the cheaper once are good too? I don’t know about he horse power increase, but I do plan on looking into a cold air intake to see if the combo will give me a few more horses. I plan on lifting the Jeep and putting 35’s on it, so the extra horse power will hopefully help push them. Finally, at the end of the day, it looks pretty sharp too. Highly recommend this performance muffler.....

Excellent product and value!
I buy almost everything on Amazon so I was thrilled when I saw the Magnaflow exhaust for $100 less than other sites. I bought the hanger removal tool as well, and it made removal extremely easy. I had the original off in less than 10 minutes and expected I would have the new one on in another 10. That’s where I was wrong. First, the unit comes in excellent packing and the tips are covered so keep that on for the install. It started to go on easy but for the life of me I could not get the existing pipe guide screw to align with the new exhaust slot. I almost gave up and didn’t set it all the way in but decided to try one more thing. If I pulled down on the existing pipe, it allowed me to push the unit back the remaining distance. I now realize that I should have taken the hanger off the remaining pipe to make it easier to align. Without taking it off, I had to pry very hard, but it worked. It would have gone easier with the other hanger off but that one is tough to get to. All in, I spent just an hour on the removal and install and it sounds awesome! I didn’t have ramps or a lift, and I completed it by myself, so don’t be afraid to tackle this one. Also, a few people mentioned the tips sticking out different lengths. I can almost guarantee it is because the exhaust is not set in all the way or they tightened the clamp before alignment. Mine was off at first but just spend a minute adjusting before tightening. A great mod!

JUST BUY IT ALREADY!
Far exceeded my expectations. It basically adds a sport mode to your wrangler if it is an automatic. It changes all the shift points and makes it feel quicker. It definitely improved the low end torque and makes hill climbs much easier. My jeep would struggle up big hills around town unless but now it tackles them with no issues. The sound is incredible. I have a hard top and the sound is almost always there and some might say it even drones. Its not unbearable and is actually a pleasant sound. You will have the constant urge to get on the throttle because it just has such an awesome sound. Gas mileage definitely improved at first but now that its broken in I dont notice much of a difference but I also need to do some work to my jeep as it is high mileage and time for new spark plugs, wires, oil change, and a belt replacement. This could possibly effect my mileage but I think it could be the cold weather. I used to get around 13 -14MPG in the cold and I now get 15 with my driving style and when I mellow out it goes near 16. If you bury your foot into the floor board you may notice a slight burning smell. I think this is just from the black coating on the exhaust. It only happens when I floor it so I am not worried about it. You will need to buy a new clamp for the exhaust because it doesn't come with one. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! DONT BUY THE MAGNAFLOW CLAMP! IT is overpriced. Autozone quoted me $70-80 for an exhaust clamp! RIdiculous! Just go to A&A and buy the one for $12 I believe mine is a Dynapro. IT works just the same. I have abused this thing through the cold weather and now into the spring. Puddle bashing and muddy dirt roads and trails to salty roads. It has held up beautifully for the past month or two that I have had it on. If you are thinking about buying this product, just do it already. I think you will all be overjoyed with this product. If anyone needs a picture or sound clip, I would be more than happy to add them to the review or send them to you. I just do not currently have them on my laptop and can't post them through the app. Happy Jeeping. Jeep Wave.

Aesthetically pleasing sound and performance! Vastly improved appearance!
I have a 2008 JK 2 door. Among some other mods and repairs last summer, I snagged a set of Willy's edition black wheels on Craigslist. I loved the look but the black wheel used for the tailgate mounted spare really called attention to the rusty old, original muffler, making it stand out like a sore thumb. I provided a few Before, During and After pictures. So I started researching options and shopping for a black muffler. That led me to this Magnaflow. I prefer the shape and build which spreads the dual exhaust pipes out a bit wider than some other options. Online videos made me confident about the sound as I didn't want too much rumble. I tackled the install myself and I won't lie . . . it was a bit challenging. Being an older JK, the clamp nut & bolt were rusty and well fused. I took the advice from an online video and cut the bolt using a Dremel 4000 armed with a metal cutting wheel. The Magnaflow comes with a new pipe clamp and hardware so if you have too much trouble with rust I would suggest cutting the original bolt. At that point it's sort of an awkward dance of wiggling the old muffler from the pipe and two rubber hangers. After some expletives and a good bash of my forehead into the differential cover I got it done. As others have mentioned that's the tough part. Getting the new Magnaflow on from there is cake! Yes the driver side pipe juts out a tad more on my install as well and I had thoughts of adjusting it. However it's not obvious unless you're looking for it so I let that go. The mount is solid. The sound is aggressive but smooth and I love it. Someone here said it makes there Jeep sound like a Jeep and I agree. If I bought another JK today I would tackle this mod again right away. It completes the Jeep in both performance and vastly improved appearance! I love the moderate but deeper rumble and so do my dogs!

Good Sound - Poor Fitment
Good sound, no drone, but poor fitment. There are 2 OEM exhaust hangers welded to the chassis and 2 hangers on either side of the MF exhaust and only a single fixed mounting point at the pipe clamp. The hangers connect with flexible bushings. Though the passenger exhaust and chassis hangers wouldn't line up. If they just made the exhaust hanger an inch longer it would solve this problem. Instead, the hanger bushing is at a ~40 degree angle due to the poor alignment and it pops off all the time. Even it when it stays on the exhaust sags on the passenger side, of course a bit worse when it pops off. So here's the thing, I tried working this through MF. What a waste of time! And took a LONG time. I had to get the seller to contact them to have them call me. After MF insisting I wrench on it 2 more time to 'adjust' it (there's barely millimeters worth of play) it would never align properly. I eventually returned it and mounted the replacement, but SAME RESULT!!! The replacement bushing does stay on but still at the 40 degree angle and it still sags and protrudes on the passenger side. 2015 Wrangler JKU. INSTALLATION TIPS: Use a large adjustable pliers instead of buying a exhaust wrench to remove the bushings; spray WD-40 between the pipes to remove/install; keep the exhaust tip covers on when installing so it won't scratch; install the pipe clamp 1st, then the hanger bushings; make sure the OEM exhaust plumbing notch is lined up in the sweet spot before tightening; keep the box in case you wind up like me.
