Please take us back!
This well-researched non-fiction book provides a stark warning to EU member states everywhere about the dangers associated with the leaving of the European Union. And this was written well before the UK actually left and nobody could deny the trainwreck that it is any longer (at least not with a straight face and not without being laughed out of any room populated with intelligent people).

Quite funny but the joke is running a little thin
I have one or two of these "Adult" Ladybird books, and I have to admit that the resemblance to the originals from the 60s and 70s is remarkable. Writing adult material in a child's style is also amusing for the first one or two times. . . unfortunately after a few books the joke runs thin. A great present for someone who has not seen these books before.

Required reading before moving to London
This is the first Ladybird title I've come across, I laughed myself to bits over it. So did my 11-yr olds, and my husband who only reads non-fiction. With glee I am writing in today to the publisher for my free illustrated list of titles; I'm hoping to acquire the entire series during my imminent stay in the UK. Which I'm hereby entitling my Brentrance.

Inner rational voice: How dare you spend money! We're broke. Reader Me: Look, I really need to laugh, okay. This is really funny. See? Inner rational voice: The bit about the shed and the PM is so great. Reader Me: And the cheese. The bit about cheese.

Like other books in the series, hits the mark, has you smiling (albeit wryly at times) and is the perfect gift

What should I say, as an English man living in France, you can imagine my opinion on the subject, but that's neither here nor there, but what I can say is: Everything is in the title, I've got a few of these books and I think that the humour is wonderful.
