Awesome RTR at even better price
Great flex out of the box. For the price? You can NOT do better. Period. Metal links and frame is a bonus at this price too! Adjustable shocks/wheelbase/ride height is great. It's a bit top heavy in RTR configuration but let's face it, If you're buying a hobby grade, you're not keeping it stock anyway....why pay twice as much for something you'll dump money into anyway when you can spend less all around? Tires are grippy and perform better than expected though the stock foams are a little too soft. Some decent dual stage fixes any gripes had there. My biggest gripe is the obnoxiously brittle bumper posts. Front bumper posts broke within 3 mins of first run. Great starter truck, or awesome RTR to build upon. Esc is good too! Hexfly 1040 isn't the best, but isn't a slouch either. 550 can gives more than enough torque for any beginner

this truck I think is one of the best you can buy for the money
To all those people out there that are interested in the red cat generation seven radio control truck, this truck I think is one of the best you can buy for the money. I'm new at this hobby but I paid particular attention whenever you go to the YouTube videos and watch what the people that have this truck can actually do against the other trucks which are much more expensive and have all the latest gizmos. I've added headlights taillights and the six-inch light bar which works really awesome "pay attention and try to get the light bar that has the little tiny lightbulbs to rows, so far that things indestructible I've rolled this truck down the side of the steepest hills and it's only now starting to crack the Lexan body in one of the mold areas by the door. Articulation is good I'm sure it could be improved but it's absolutely amazing where this thing will go depending on who's driving it. The only thing I would recommend is getting different tires which are much softer and applied more grip this makes a world of difference. Generally the only thing that will stop this thing from climbing is either the dirt is to loosen you dig a hole or your traction is to good annual flip over backwards! I also did one other item because it does have quite a bit of speed to it and it makes it more difficult to climb rough terrain because it bounces around too much it's too sensitive. Replace your pinion gear with a 13 tooth, it still has fairly good speed to get out a hill without losing control but allows you the sensitivity and the controller to rock crawl.

Great Intro RC to Crawlers.
When you buy this keep in mind this is the entry level price point for RC crawlers and the parts reflect that. The drivetrain and transmission are all plastic and so are the driveshafts. Within a month of owning this the plastic gears within the transmission stripped and failed from what I’d consider routine use. I was not abusing it. However, for about $100 I was able to upgrade to metal gears, a metal spur gear, and a metal transmission housing. If you’re willing to spend a little and take the time to upgrade parts, this thing is awesome. Very fun and capable crawler. Parts are easy to source (got all my upgrades on Amazon) and when I did reach out to red cat support they were awesome. Just remember you’re not paying for a $500+ crawler. But you can easily upgrade to make this thing much more capable and dependable.

Excellent value, great performance
Bought the burnt orange one for my wife, and the silver one for myself. The stock charger is pretty slow but the battery lasts a long time. I was ready for the battery to die so I could go do something else but it kept going and going. After charging, I adjusted the servo control and tuned the steering to run straight. The steering can be improved with a dremel tool in about 3 minutes, look for the videos on YouTube. A crack has developed in my truck body. I put duct tape inside to hopefully stop it from cracking further. I added lights on both bodies. The lights plug into the empty slot on the speed control and run off the main battery without much drain as these are LED bought from Amazon for about $12. I'd recommend and I don't regret saving $200 each over comparables.

Steering Plastic!!!
After watching reviews and videos about the "Redcat Racing Everest Gen7 Sport Ready to Run" and how ?durable? this Crawler Scaler was supposed to be, I finally made the purchase... with that said...here are my results: Pro's: Pre-assembled with a nice Transmitter, Receiver, ESC, Battery (2000mah NIMH), Beadlock wheels and nice soft gripping Tires, Pre-painted Body, and Aluminum suspension arm's and steering links... Seems like, what a sweet little RC for the price... CON'S: The plastic parts in the Bumper's, and elsewhere is way to soft. Especially in the C-HUB'S AND STEERING ARM'S, first time out and the C-HUB'S split around the fasteners..(super glue to the axle housing to repair) Second time out the screw that connects the steering arm to the C-Hub pulls out, (Threads in the steering arm) again super glue the screw carefully into the steering arm making sure to not bind the pivot spacer)) Third time out: C-HUB top connection link breaks off..super glue ain't fixing this... Final words: In all this RC has run for about 1.5 hrs on my RMX RC PLAY-PARK Course between repairs..The good is that this thing will Crawl and has plenty of power to do some amazing feat's if the plastic parts in the steering was upgraded to aluminum it would be a 10 star Hobbiest RC.

Neat toy
I like the construction of it and the look. That being said. I did have to fix it right out of the box. One of the 4 link rods popped off its ball. Easy fix. Had an issue when i was running it no matter what i did with the remote it just kept going forward. Had to shut it of and turn it back on to get it corrected. But seems like a good unit at a good price.

Recomiendo ampliamente.

Like the truck. Could have purchased it cheaper somewhere else. Slight body deformation.

i found this to be a decent truck , however the price seems high for the quality of what you get. it broke twice in two trips out to the trails. and then had a faulty receiver. Redcat was great about doing a warranty part replacent.
