too expansive

This book has a myriad of different articles, some I agreed with and some I didn't, but they were all very in-depth and interesting. Well, most of them were interesting. The 13 Going on 30 essay was a little more existential than I could grasp, but for the most part they're all relatively readable if you already know a little something about feminist theory. I got this book for my birthday, and I can say it is one of the best gifts I've gotten. Seriously love it.

This book provides accessible and intelligent perspectives of the way women are portrayed in music, how this relates to feminist concerns, and how these examples depict current cultural themes. I highly recommend.
