It held as much as their MUCH more expensive packs and after 5 countries it was still in excellent shape. So
I own three of these. I bought one at Walmart on sale and took it to Europe with my husband and some friends. It held as much as their MUCH more expensive packs and after 5 countries it was still in excellent shape. So, I purchased two more from Amazon for my daughters and took them to Europe the next year. My bag traveled through another 3 countries and all of the packs held up really well. No rips, malfunctioning zippers or torn pockets. We are planning another trip for next year and plan to take our same packs. My husband is considering one for himself.

Light low-tech rucksack
Great bag if you’re looking for a easy to carry airline carry-on. It is perfect For the Don and Dash through the airport. It is not high tech hiking equipment. It is slouchy and weirdly shaped. It has no body adjustments and no internal frame that makes sense. Because I’m a tightwad, I bought it for my daughter for hiking short overnights. It actually works ok for that. It is just the right right size for a 13-year-old girl.

Good value - you may get a hole in yours too
Good backpack. It arrived with a very small hole in the front pocket. Not a rip but a hole cut in the fabric. I'm wondering if it is intended to feed a water tube through?? I read this in another review too so that's strange. I cut out a silver duct tape piece, diamond shaped and applied it to the inside and outside to make sure it didn't rip into a larger hole. Matched the grey trim. It worked fine through two plane trips so far. Nice and lightweight and comfortable to carry for my old, bad back. Worth the price I paid for it. Only complaint is you pretty much have to take everything out to get to the bottom area since it's all in one large compartment with no zipper. That would cost more though.

Good backpack for traveling on chicken buses
This is the third of these backpacks that we've purchased (but the first from Amazon). We travel to Central America often and these:1) can be carried onto Spirit flights for free2) fit overhead or under seats on chicken buses3) Are comfortable to carry around. The oldest of the three backpacks is starting to come apart at the seams, but it has carried a number of heavy loads... That being said, I wouldn't recommend these for true "backpacking" trips from Xela to San Juan or anything like that. We use our occasionally and it works well in that capacity.

I run a 34lb ultralight pack (including food and water) and it works great 10 miles a day and enough room to carry ...
I first bought one for my 9 year old because I couldn't justify several hundred dollars on a backpack for a 9 year old. I had to use high strength thread and stitch the top of the pack to the Stays (the metal inserts that give the pack rigidity). Once that was done I was so impressed I bought one for myself as an ultralight pack rather than a granite gear. I run a 34lb ultralight pack (including food and water) and it works great 10 miles a day and enough room to carry gear for a 3-4 day trip easy.

Great Product for the Price
Used this bag (and a matching twin for my partner) to travel for the last year. Went to six continents and over 14 countries with it. Perfect size to fit in overhead bins on airlines that allow cary on items. Material was durable enough to withstand checking the bag with airline companies. Easy to wash in a washing machine. Do not plan to go on long hikes with this, it is not designed for that. Really good for the average traveler looking to pack light and easily move from place to place.

Decreased Quality - Started Breaking Down within 1 Day of Trip
Honestly... This pack is garbage. It seems like the quality in this pack has DECREASED greatly. I borrowed this pack from a friend a while ago [She bought it 2 years ago] for a trip in the rainforest. It was a nice, basic, and cheap pack that served me well on that trip so I decided to buy myself one before my next trip. However, the one I bought was terrible! As soon as I received it, the material of the backpack even felt cheaper / lower quality than my friend's. I went backpacking for a month and on the 1st day of my trip, the zipper on the front pocket broke so it was one less pocket I could use. Then within another few days, everything on this backpack began to fray. It was basically destroyed by the end of the trip and the backpack didn't even face harsh environments. My trip was just country hopping along the Mediterranean and I stayed in apartments so all this pack had to endure was holding clothes & act as my carry-on for plane rides.

Perfect for 72 hour kits
I researched what felt like a million backpacks for my family's 72 hour kits. This back pack is perfect. It is durable enough, but not really expensive. I needed six of these for each member of my family and $30 each was pretty reasonable. There are two metal bars that make up the frame, but it is still a flexible duffle bag style that will fit a ton of stuff. I like the handle on the outside so that I could carry it easily for my little one if I needed to. I had more than enough room to pack it full of three days worth of food, clothes, first aid kits, and other survival gear with room to spare.
