Hi there, this product is great, I’ve used it on leather(Chanel products), canvas(Luis Vuitton), microfiber items, and I’ve used it on my husband’s hiking boots, tennis shoes,etc. I use Protex on everything I want to protect and keep it clean. It will protect all kinds of materials and I’ve not seen where it changes the chemistry(color) of the materials. Try using a little at the back of the heel and see what happens and see if it changes the color. Read the instructions before you use it. I’ve never had a problem with this product. I love it that it DOES NOT contains WAX. I won’t use anything else.
