What an enjoyable book!
My wife and my granddaughter loved the book. Well written and illustrated, and kids should love it. Ruth Heller has produced a classic children's book that Mom and Dad may sneak out for a quick read. It should go next to Dr. Seuss books (she loved Dr. Seuss books) on your child's bookshelf.

We love Ruth Heller's books
We have the language series by Ruth Heller, and love it. The illustrations are incredible, and really help make learning language fun. Plus, we use the books for our homeschool art classes too! They are a tremendous inspiration for the girls when painting.

This is great! I use it as an intro for my students on collective nouns. The visuals really help bring it to life.

I checked this book out of the public library at age seven. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that it was not a book about gemology and jewelry. The illustrations are absolutely luscious, but grammar is still boring, at least to seven year olds...

Perfect
I am a teacher and one of our standards in 2nd grade is to understand collective nouns. Let me tell you that there is not much on collective nouns. This book made my students completely understand. They were even quoting collective nouns they found and related it to the book. Great for learning!

This book is about grammar. This particular one is about collective nouns. I love the series, each book is on a different part of the speech. It's written in rhymes and has amazing illustrations. A terrific teaching tool. I highly recommend it.

I thought I would leave this review, because some of the other ones indicated that there weren't many and I almost didn't buy the book because of it. There are actually 28 illustrated collective nouns (and a few more, non-illustrated collective nouns on the back". Haven't tried it with the kids yet, but I've learned some new ones myself.
