IAMS PROACTIVE HEALTH Adult Urinary Tract Health Dry Cat Food with Chicken, 7 lb. Bag

i bought the urinary tract health, mostly for my male cats, as a supplemental food. i feed them iams indoor weight & hairball care already. It’s the first day with this new food and all my cats (including the super picky one) are loving it!! Smells like chicken with some fishy hints as well. The size of the kibble is not too big. All in all, i recommend this food & i can say it’s picky cat approved! Only thing i wish was different, is a sealable bag for freshness.

This is the type of cat food Iam's carriesif your cat gets 2 urinary tract infections with crystals, because your vet will tell you if you do not buy this type of cat food, your cat will eventually get a crystal which is a kidney stone & vets do not perform this type of operation. This means you will have no choice but to euthanize your cat. My cat is an extremely picky eater & I had to find the one pet company that sells it and this is the only brand she will eat. This type of cat food isn't cheap & I wasn't willing to take the chance.

We have 5 cats, (3 males, 2 females) one of our males came down with bladder crystals which we had never heard of. Our vet suggested a food for Urinary Tract health. We’ve tried the expensive brands and just simply cannot afford them, then I found Iams!! Iams Urinary Tract health dry cat food is perfect. Our cats love it and we haven’t had any problems since! Thank you Iams for making an affordable option for our cats 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛🐈🐈🐈 that is both tasty and good for them! Our cats have also gotten a lot softer fur too, so sleek and shiny!!

All 10 of my cats love this particular Iams food. It's good quality and sone of my cats prefer it over wet food! As soon as the smell it they are gobbling it up and the size and texture of the kibble is just right - not too big or small.

I switched my cats to this a few years ago and almost immediately noticed a difference in how soft and luscious their fur is now. I have a lot of cats because they get dumped here so while this brand is more expensive than some others, it does appear to be much better quality. I get the urinary tract health food because of how common it is for males to get blocked. Since I switched I've only lost one male from this terrible condition. Considering how many strays come and go here, I consider that a success. And probably most importantly: the cats love it. They were thrilled when I switched them to this.

Always the perfect food for my group of fur babies. Never had and issue with shipping and don't believe I've had a damaged bag of cat food either. Great for your cats you worry about having kidney or bladder issues.

After using Purina urinary tract dry food forever I decided to try this. Boy my cat ate the whole bowl! I mixed in some of the Purina but this was definitely a big and good change for him. Thanks

I just wanted to tell everyone looking around for a more cost effective solution that this food does work for my cat's urinary crystal issues. The prescription food is not appetizing to my cat, costs a ton, and is really just junky food from a nutrition standpoint. My cat really enjoys eating this food so that's a real bonus in addition to the cost difference.I'd say it took a few weeks for her to get the all clear with the crystals so it won't happen overnight. Just be patient. And once she got the all clear, she was still peeing outside of the litter box because the poor thing had a kitty version of PTSD about the pain I think. My vet put her on Amitriptyline and within a couple weeks she was peeing in the box again. To break it down and make it easy if you want to try what worked for us, this is what I do to maintain her urinary tract health:Morning: 1/2 can Purina ProPlan urinary tract health wet food with warm water addedFree feeding of this Iams Urinary health dry food throughout the dayDinnertime: 1/2 can Purina Pro Plan urinary tract health wet food with a capsule of Cosequin for Cats sprinkled on it and added warm waterEvening: 1/2 pill of Amitriptyline at night before bedtime (wrapped in a pill pocket to make it easy)You can get all of the supplies here on Amazon, though your vet has to prescribe the anti depressant for the pharmacy to fill. I hope that helps anyone struggling to get rid of urinary tract issues in their cats. I was skeptical that this budget brand would work as well as it did! Well worth trying to see if it helps your kitty too because it'll save you a heck of a lot of money.
