Palmer's Hair Success With Vitamin E Gro Treatment, 7.5 Ounces

I have been using this for decades. This is great scalp treatment without being messy/greasy and it has a pleasant smell. The wonderful thing is that over the decades, the quality has remained the same. The price has gone up significantly, over the years, but it is still worth it because it is not easy finding scalp/hair products that moisturize with being heavy and messy. I started using this since I was a kid and because it works so well, I have used other Palmer's products that don't disappoint.

I bought this because I was looking for old fashioned hair dress in a jar. My hair needs something more than curl creams (mostly water), leave in creams, and oils. I use this on top of those products. It helps to hold those moisture and oils in. It helps to keep me curly hair from tangling and knotting up. I also use it to help clump my curls without gels. It goes on looking oily but dries during the course of the day so my curls are still there but my hair looks fuller, So, I mostly used this product for the reasons listed above. I am about halfway through the jar. I have only been using this product for about a month now. And yes! My hair is changing for the better. My hair edges are growing in thicker, my healthiest hair is drying smooth and with curls (I have Type 4 hair so this isn’t typical), and my dryest hair texture is started to feel flexible and moist and respond well to styling. If I get to the point where all of my hair holds curls without frizzing, this we’ll be absolutely phenomenal. But, for now, I feel like my hair is getting healthier even though I did not expect this to do anything. I used this product along with adding a clarifying shampoo, protecting my hair while I sleep, and using a Tangle Teaser brush to make sure every stand got oil, so I don’t want to make it sound like the jar alone did it. But, I do think the way that it slows the drying out of my hair during the day actually plays an important role.

Best hair product, grew my hair, smells Amazing, it could be used daily, not greasy....been using for years, also stops breakage and repairs split ends, definitely recommend!!!

I have been using this product since I was a child and I'm so happy I found it on Amazon! It still smells the same, moisturizes the Hair the same and I know it will keep my hair and my children's hair healthy. It's a conditioning grease so you can use it on wet or dry hair. Use it daily and as frequent as you want. It gives the hair a shine without making it feel heavy or unmanageable. I remember when my edges got thin after childbirth and this grease helped them grow back! As a kid, my hair broke off after wearing frequent high ponytails, and my mom used this grease to grow my hair back. When my son was a baby, the back of his hair thinned out, and I used this grease. It NEVER disappoints! Buy it!

Cream hair

Decided to go natural and did a big chop last year January. As my hair growing back, I’ve been noticing how dry and brittle my thick 4c hair gets not to mentioned the breakage regardless what I put in it. I remembered my mother used to feed my hair with palmers back in the early 90’s, so I decided to go old school, I was skeptical about getting it when I saw it, saying to myself was it going to be the same product, I took a leap of faith and ordered it last month, since April 22nd my hair has been moisturized like never before, I’m glad I found this product again. The smell and shine took me back to the 90’s. I love this product.

This is a really nice product, much different from any old hair mask or treatment oil. I have noted other reviewers who were displeased with the way it spreads as it is so thick - I do not believe it is supposed to be used this way, although admittedly instructions simply say 'use a small amount.' You'd really need to be used to caring meticulously for your hair I think to be aware that you aren't supposed to spread it all over like a mask, but massage a little bit into the required areas, like the scalp as I have been doing, by smoothing it on your fingers or rubbing your hands together first with a bit of the product on it. I myself massage it into my scalp before bed and in the mornings. I have found that it soothes my scalp if my hair has been up all day and needs a massage... and the scent, which is a delicious marzipan 'flavour', is not cloying, it lingers but does not go 'off' in any way. I also rub it into my ends, which I find it protects well. As I have very long hair, it provides a nice alternative to coconut oil which I regularly use, but sometimes find too greasy looking. This product does not grease out my hair (used sparingly!), I feel that it is more of a damage repair and soothing balm than a mask. It does not promise faster growth, but improved condition of growth, and this is just what it has done. I do not advise spreading it all over the hair unless you warm it up slowly in hot water or the shower, and then wrap a heated towel around your hair for it to soak in overnight. It does not contain many of the normal 'haircare' ingredients like panthenol or magnesium or biotin or castor oil... and apart from the colouring I think most of its ingredients are natural. Used sparingly, it lasts for ages. I'll certainly be getting another one when this runs out. Very impressive product.
