Great Ingredients Including Esther C
Years ago, I found this DMAE SERUM in a health food store. I'm grateful I can now find it on Amazon. Not only does it contain DMAE, but it also contains a stable form of vitamin C - Vitamin C Ester/ascorbyl palmitate. It also contains alpha-lipoic acid and, of course, DMAE.At this point, most people have heard that vitamin C is essential for skin care, but DMAE is also a great antioxidant ingredient which can provide lifting and tightening, skin brightening, reduce wrinkles, and increase firming and skin elasticity. The serum is brown and I like the light fresh, scent. I don't see fragrance anywhere in the ingredient list so this is most likely a natural aroma. It can also be intense if you put it on raw skin (that just lets me know It contains enough vitamin C to make a difference). It has never bothered my skin, but I wouldn't use it at the same time as Retin - A (if you use that prescription) and those ingredients should be alternated anyway (one in the morning and one at night, for example). It's also a fantastic price!!

The Fountain of youth...
It is a well documented fact that DMAE is found in Wild Alaskan Salmon; along with Omega-3 fatty acid which is a huge benefit to the human body, DMAE does in fact tighten skin and improve the texture of skin. What you put on your skin is just as important as what you consume in order to help your skin from the inside out. One thing I see over and over when reading facial cream reviews is women complaining about puffy under-eye area...one of the best things you can easily do to improve or even entirely rid yourself of this problem is CUT DOWN ON SALT. "If you have puffy bags under your eyes in the morning, you are almost certainly consuming much more salt than you need," says Doris Day, M.D., author of Forget the Facelift: Turn Back the Clock with a Revolutionary Program for Ageless Skin (book). Another problem is alcohol: It dehydrates skin and can make skin sag. The worst combination is alcohol and salt, which causes puffy dark circles under your eyes; reduce sodium intake to eliminate bloating. Instead of salt, season your meals with herbs and spices like oregano, thyme, rosemary, parsley and garlic. Also, a lot of under eye puffiness comes from congested sinuses; use a netti pot to irrigate your sinuses; you will breathe better and look better. So remember, use DMAE to help tighten skin, make sure you are getting plenty of Omega-3, CUT DOWN SALT and treat your sinuses to a day at the spa and irrigate them with a soothing, warm saline solution. The one I use is SinuCleanse. Source Naturals is the most cost effective DMAE source I have found; any DMAE solution will work, it is up to the consumer to do the research; just one product is not going to perform a miracle no matter how much you pay for it...it is all about understanding why you have puffy eyes and what to do to resolve it from the inside and how to repair it from the outside. The one thing that concerns me is the claim of this product that if you have puffy eyes it may take longer to see results...you would think a research company would know the cause of the puffiness and make suggestions about how to rectify the problem. You can use this product every day till the end of time and it won't do anything to relieve the puffiness...YOU have to cut down on salt...then the DMAE can repair the skin. Good Luck!

Not Impressed at all.
Upon hearing about DMAE on Dr. Oz and doing some research, and then reading the reviews for this product I was excited to try it out. Typically,I do not buy into this sort of hype as I have been fooled into wasting my time and money too many times in the past.I am 30 yrs old. I have what I would consider some premature aging due to sun damage in my youth. In recent years,I have noticed sun spots on my face and problems with discoloration and uneven skin tone. I also have some wrinkles which have formed in between my eyes and on my forhead. They are not severe, but they are deeper than I feel they should be at my age.My expectations for this product were reasonable. I hoped that it would even my skin tone, reduce the sun spots and possibly decrease the wrinkles at least a little. After using this product regularly for over 6 weeks, here is the good and bad that I have experienced:Good:1)It is inexpensive and last a long time as only a drop is needed to cover your entire face2)It gives the skin a smooth and slightly tighter appearance while it is on ( very much like an eggwhite mask)3)It helps make-up to go on more smoothly and gives my face a little bit of a "glow" after my make-up is applied.Bad:1)It has a very strong smell. I didn't find it to be stinky or offensive but it was strong to the point that it sometimes gave me a headache and I would avoid wearing it from time to time because of this. The smell does not fade and I never really got used to it. My husband liked the way it smelled...but he didn't have it on his face all day long.2)It goes on like sunscreen...it feels sticky and takes a while to dry. It doesn't seem to actually soak into the skin at all, but instead it sits on the surface. If you sweat, it will drip into your eyes and it stings. When you wash your face, you can feel it washing off ( thus proving that it is not absorbed into the skin at all)3)It does not moisturize and I had to use extra moisturizer at night to compensate for it.4)The subtle effects I mentioned in the "good" section only alst until you wash it off. There is no lasting improvement to skin at all.5)And finally,I am pretty sure that this product actually CAUSED more discoloration on my face rather than decreasing it. I have a shadow above my lip (not caused by hair) and darkening of some of my freckles/ age spots. The only other products I use on my face are coconut oil and home-made masks and exfoliant scrubs. I have used these products well over a year now with no problems and many improvements in the appearance of my skin. While I can't be 100% sure that this product caused the increase in discoloration,I can think of no other reason why this would have happened and I have stopped using the product. I may try using it on my arms and hands as a test to see if it causes the same issue. In conclusion, everyone is different and maybe yo will have better luck with this product that I did, but I would not get overly excited because it is clearly not a miracle in a bottle.Ladies, take my word for it, if you really want to improve the appearance of your skin and slow down aging, keep it natural.Coconut oil is wonderful for your skin, as are many other oils. They moisturize, cleanse and add a healthy glow. They also fight against aging better than anything else you can buy in the beauty aisle. Witchhazel is a great toner and helps to tighten skin. You can create so many wonderful face scrubs and masks in your own kitchen using products you probably already have in your pantry (yogurt, oatmeal, honey, cocoa powder just to name a few) Just do an internet search for all natural skin care and yo will find a wealth of info.I gave in to temptation and bought this product in a moment of weakness, with the small hope that maybe it would be that one product that would really come through and do what it said it would. It didn't. I'm happily going back to my regimen of oils and home-made beauty products and I hope that more women out there will do the same.
