LOUD!!!
Overall, a GREAT value. Really, REALLY LOUD!!!Installed on my F250 Super Duty. Tired of people cutting me off while towing a 10,000 pound trailer. That said, I'm not terribly impressed with the plastic tubing to run from the air tank to the solenoid valve and from the solenoid valve to the horns. I actually hard piped from the tank to the valve and only used the plastic tubing from the valve to the horn.Had a fairly extensive hardware package. Didn't really need the instructions so didn't pay much attention the instruction quality.I would recommend this horn set and I would purchase again!

Loud, but parts are sub par
While this thing is definitely loud, you constantly have to service it. Initially, i recieved a tank that wasnt threaded, Viking replaced it with no issues. Then, the overpressure valve wouldn't hold its rating, so I bought one elsewhere, as I had started to not trust the parts. Next, the pressure switch started leaking internally. In the last few weeks, one of the bells (trumpets) completely broke off of it's mounting base (viking will not sell you parts, just a full set) and the compressor seized (took it apart to find the connecting rod for the pump broken into 3 pieces). It was mounted out of the elements. It's just the pot metal all of this stuff is made from. Now I have to spend another $400 to get it functional again. Not exactly fun. I get that nothing lasts forever, but to have catastrophic failure of so many parts is not what I expected. The only things that are still functional out of the original purchase is the replacement tank, pressure gauge, air lines, and solenoid.

Very loud
Love the system, sounds great. For anyone looking for a horn, this is not a beginner install. 1st issue I had, fuse supplied with the kit got very hot, install directions followed to a “T”. Customer service stated a bigger fuse can be installed, ok, removing most of the load directly to the system, I installed a 60a relay. 2nd issue, No leaks from the compressor to the horn, system is bleeding down fairly quick, will not hold pressure as a compressor/tank should. After the tank reaches the 200psi cutoff, after about 7 minutes compressor kicks back on. Customer support contacted again after no leaks were found again to verify. CS responded almost 2 weeks later, stated to look for leaks in the fittings, tank and lines. I kept explaining there were no leaks as the rep didn’t speak great English numerous times. CS stated if the electric valve or compressor were leaking, the part would need to be shipped back for a replacement on my dime, shipping should be on the company. Frustrated with the lack of service and hung up. Nice system just don’t have issues.

Breaks
So I purchased the V103C-6-12/311-1 and mounted the trumpet set. A week later this section broke off the longest trumpet. Seems like the housing is made of some kind of plastic metal material that seems brittle. I haven't even been able to install the entire kit yet. 😕. I will contact viking and see if they will replace it....if not then I will be out more than 100.00 to buy a new set of trumpets.

Poor Customer service
My wife purchased model V103C-6-12/311-1 Viking train horn for me for Christmas. Needless to say it’s February now and still unable to use this horn. Took it and had it installed. Been one issue after another. The air tank builds to 200 PSI and then dumps the air from the tank. This is after already replacing it the pressure relief valve once already. So I have sent numerous messages from their web site. I have called so many times where it just rings and finally goes to answering machine. Left numerous message for call backs. Then found email address and emailed and still nothing from this company. I would really appreciate someone to take pride in your product and reach out to me so I can get this dang issue fixed. Very poor customer service.
