This is an excellent training leash at 22" from the tip of the handle to the tip of the metal snap. It's soft to the touch and yet it's sturdy. The rope is cinched tightly and neatly at two places (at the handle and the snap). It's way better than a 6-ft lead that I have to wrap around my hand several times to gain control OR let them walk in front of me and think they are the leaders! I purchased one, tried it out, and purchased a second one. There is a lock mechanism that allows you to lock the snap in place so there's no way it can come undone and your dog can get away, which isn't usually a problem with a good carabiner or a good metal snap but it can happen and this way, it cannot. You also don't have to use the lock mechanism; you can use it with or without.

I love this! When we adopted our dog he came with some bad walking habits that made him very hard to walk, including occasionally lunging at other dogs walking by. This leash has been a huge help with his walking. Very comfortable to hold and extremely sturdy.

I’m using this to leash train an 11-month old, 26kg Labrador stray we adopted and it’s basically great. It’s very solidly built and, although I probably don’t need the locking mechanism, the carabiner is easy to use but solid enough that I have confidence in it (unlike some other leashes I’ve owned). The handle doesn’t have padding but, for me, is sufficiently soft not to cause chafing (which again, has been a problem with other leashes). I'm so impressed, I’m thinking of investing in a 4’ or 5’ version.

I love rope leashes. And this one is good. Comfortable to hold not super stiff. It feels good in your hand and optimizes your control of your pump. I would not want the leash to be any longer than it is and for me it could be two inches shorter. However, I like the clasp and have had no issues so far.

I had to return mine because it wasn’t long enough for what I wanted, but I could tell it is a quality lead and would work great for a larger dog than mine.

We have a service dog, and he is so well behaved, we don't often need to hold the leash. This leash is the perfect length so we can let his hang off his harness without it dragging on the ground. It's very thick and durable. Soft to touch and I suspect we will never have to replace it. The carabiner style clip is very sturdy and secure.

I found the Kruz PET Traffic Short Dog Leash with So'Silicone Grip when I was looking for an alternative to the standard flat nylon leash style. My wife has difficulty maintaining a grip on flat leashes, as we have large and strong dogs. During training, they pull and a flat leash slips in her hand. The Kruz round cord style is much easier to hold and gives her more control over the dog when he pulls. We also found the locking feature on the snap clip to be a genius idea. Sometimes, with an unsecured snap clip, the dog can move to the side or turn his head and his collar leash attachment ring pressing on the movable snap will open it. The locking feature on the Kruz leash prevents that happening. This feature could be a life-saver when walking a dog near traffic. We purchased the short leash for training and liked it so well that we then bought the 4 foot version for walks, as well as another set of short and 4 foot Kruz leashes for our older dog.

Nice sturdy leash, very short used for leesh training my heeler so he stay's close and doesn't yank me around.
