Fancy Nancy And The Too-Loose Tooth

Love all Fancy Nancy books. This was a good introduction to begin a conversation on how growing up changes the body.

I started two of my great granddaughters on the "Fancy Nancy" books several years ago, and they are now 8 and 6 yrs. old respectively and both still love the Nancy character! They get them for their birthdays and for Christmas each year, and the books are always welcomed with glee. I actually found a "Fancy Nancy" Tee Shirt and gown for the 6-year old recently and purchased it for her 6-year old birthday that has just passed {in January 2011} and she loved it! I will continue to buy and give the books to the girls until they outgrow them. Most little girls love the themes that the books touch upon, and I think it helps them to acclimate themselves for life at their age, like the "First Grader Book" and the "Loose Tooth" one. The girls know what to expect before they have to actually do it and it takes some of the fear and anxiety out of normal life events for them. They realize it is something that all kids their age go through and is a natural part of growing up so they are prepared when it is their time to experience these events in their growing into "big girls" phases. My daughter is 6 and loves these books, she is reading them with me and reading to herself too. they are suitable for children from about age 3 or 4 upwards, just lovely stories. amusing and so sweet. I highly recommend them. This is a particularly sweet story about Nancy and her loose tooth! and a dilemma she has with regard to a 'tooth necklace'! gorgeous!

We love the Fancy Nancy Series. My daughter loves learning new words and their meanings. This help add to her vocabulary plus always has a great message. Now that my girl is learning to read this was a fun read for her.

This is my 5 year old’s favorite book right now and has been holding the #1 spot for a solid 5 months. When she was on the brink of losing her first tooth I bought this book and oh my, did it deliver. She loves it and asks for it just about every single night at bedtime. She even starts reading recently and enjoys reading it herself now. I’d definitely recommend this!
