If you're replacing your tired kitchen cabinets or are planning to install a new kitchen, this video workshop is a must. With the camera beside him the whole way, master carpenter Tom Law transforms a bare farmhouse addition into a modern country kitchen, complete with floor-to-ceiling pantries and a large island counter. You'll learn how to: hang upper cabinets, fit cabinets to uneven walls and floors, position a lazy Susan corner cabinet, clamp and screw cabinets tightly together, create an attractive L-shaped island, and set and seam a Corian countertop.

Good video
I learned a lot about making the marks on the wall and using a water level accurately. That explanation alone was very helpful. I liked watching him work and picked up some good tips like the typical spacing of the cabinets. I thought the tape could have done without the countertop manufacturing piece, I thought it was a waste of time, should have showed more of Tom adjusting the doors and things of that nature.overall, worth the money.

Excellent overview of installing cabinets
It seems this video was made in the 1980s and was transferred to DVD in 2007. Even though the styles have changed and how House foundations have changed (from pier and beam to slab). The techniques are the same. Instead of anchoring your island cabinets to wood you would anchor them using concrete bolts. Very informative. You can purchase prefab cabinets and tops from the big box hardware stores and this video will show you how to install them.

Insatlling my kitchen cabinets
This video was very good and thorough. I watched this 5 times before installing our new cabinets. Although there are hundreds of ways to install cabinets, Tom Law reviews the typical way and includes many subtle techniques like marking stud locations just above the level line where the counter top will cover. I actually built one of his jack-boxes to help put the uppers on. Installing my own cabinets saved multiple thousands of dollars and owning this video would be a wise investment. Enjoy.

piece of crap
Why do tapes, cds and dvds appear when you do a "book" search? This thing is a real piece of garbage; another coaster. I should have bought toilet paper instead of wasting my money on this crap; at least toilet paper has some use unlike this cd.
