Good quality.
Very decent! No loss of flavor compared to fancier brand I used to get

These things are amazing. I couldn't believe the difference they make in recipes. Unbelievable flavor! Great quality. Will definitely buy again.

Great taste
These peppercorns are fantastic. Read reviews about taste being “off”. You need to rinse them before using them. They are the best I found so far. Pricy but worth the money. Don’t exxagerate how much you put in your sauce either because they will dominate everything as they have a strong taste.

Peppercorns Smelled and Tasted Like Automotive Chemicals
When I opened the can, there was a noxious chemical smell. I thoroughly rinsed the peppercorns, then tasted a couple. They tasted of chemicals -- almost as if they were soaking in antifreeze instead of brine -- and then a peppercorn finish. I rinsed them thoroughly again, then tried them again. They tasted the same, so I threw out the entire order. Don't waste your money.

Excellent value
I don't think many sell brined green peppercorns for less per ounce than Roland (30 ounce can). And it's good - just not quite as bright flavored as a brand I am no longer able to find at my local Asian market. To be fair, that brand had a Proposition 65 carcinogen warning, and Roland...does not! If I recall, the can instructs that you should use the peppercorns within a week or so. Previously, I kept my other brand peppercorns refrigerated for months with no apparent degridation of taste or wholesomeness, but in the interest of safety, I've frozen these off in ice cube trays which then go into a foodsaver bag, maybe 3 or 4 cubes per bag, so as to avoid freezer burn. It's an extra step, but in the interest of a good value, and I expect that they will last in the freezer for a very long time, or at least until our next extended power outage! My dream is that Roland figures out how to keep the peppercorns on the "bunch" (think grapes) vs. them being pre-picked from their branch, which is something you see with the asian imports. And maybe add something (noncarginogenic, please!) to the brew that promotes a bit more fresh peppercorn flavor. Come on, Roland, you're 90% of the way there!

You haven't had black peppercorns until you've had "fresh" ones!
I first had canned peppercorns on a noodle dish on a Thai restaurant. These are the things that are normally dried and put in a peppermill, but canned while still fresh. SOOOO good! Great on salads. Also in Kale Wraps (burrito wrappers with fresh Kale and Thai peanut sauce) and Vietnamese rice paper rolls. Contents of can fit perfectly in two pint Mason jars for storage. Refrigerate!

Not an easy item to find
Wet green peppercorns are not something you find on many supermarket shelves. Most folks have never heard of them! This is a good brand, tastes good, lasts in the brine. Nothing more to say, other than that I would buy them again.
