Neoteck Headphones Amplifier, 16-300Ω HiFi Headphone Amp with 250mW Output, Dual Gain Switch, Rechargeable Portable Headphone Amplifier, 3.5mm AUX for 150Ω/300Ω Headphones

I bought this for my (very deaf) mother who uses headphones to listen to TV. There was not enough gain for her any longer using the TV headphone socket alone. She asked me "do headphones get quieter as they get old?" "No, the users get deafer" She now has the volume of her TV at about a third of the volume she was using before, so a substantial amount of gain has been made using this device. Obviously, quality of signal wise, one should not expect too much from this amplifier, but I thought the sound using my own quality headphones was more than acceptable for watching tv, and also fair for music, although could not begin to compare with my own Chord Hugo, which costs 70 times as much. I also listened when the device was charging and could not hear any of the crackling noises that some others had complained about. I think the build quality of the device and the enclosed cables look very good, but after only a few weeks' use I cannot comment about the long-term reliability. Overall, for such a cheap unit, I can only say that it looks like fantastic value for money and no-one should hesitate to buy. For anyone who wants a bit more gain using their phone when out and about for listening the item is no bother to carry about and is small and discreet. Light, but also reassuringly not too light, if you see what I mean. I do not often listen to music "on the go" myself, preferring to listen at home to high fidelity sound, but do occasionally use my phone and earphones. If I needed a bit more gain to the signal I would not hesitate to buy one for myself, to save my Hugo from being bashed about and possibly damaged.

Very good for its stated purpose, but I actually bought this as a line-in pre-amp for my computer to feed DAB radio input and tablet headphone connector to my computer. Depending on volume of original mastering (which can be very low on many Classical recordings - are you listening Decca?) I needed a good quality boost. This does the job fantastically well for a low cost gadget, clean pure sound even through monitor speakers. Even better on Bluetooth speakers (fed by the computer). Best purchase of the year. Excellent. Described battery life seems to be a tad optimistic, but it gives a good 6 hours plus of continuous use and recharges in less than 90 minutes. Rarely bought an item I am so pleased with.

This is a great item for the price, it's useful not only to get good quality audio and more volume from a quiet source, but also to act as volume attenuator with louder sources (for example I use it from a too loud line signal to the audio input of my camera, to reduce gain and hiss). And it's really small, light and well built, good battery life. No cons till now, maybe just the knob a bit tough and the hum noise only if connected to power supply (but it's normal and declared by the manufacturer), it's ultra quiet when powered by battery.

I originally purchased the eSync version but it arrived with a fault This Neoteck was the next on my list so got this instead. It was just a few pounds more than the eSynic one I needed it for my Yamaha NP12 piano as the sound through headphones is just too quiet I charged this up within 1.5 hours, the red charge light turns green once fully charged, and immediately tried it out It’s made a world of difference to my piano. I set the volume on the piano to about 3/4 and had the Neoteck on the ‘low gain’ setting and volume about 1/3 and it’s now nice and loud. If I turn it up further it hurts my ears it’s that powerful For the bargain price this is a great little amp and I’d totally recommend it

I bought this because I was finding that the lip-sync issues that I was getting between my projector and soundbar using a Bluetooth connection were so great that it was detracting from enjoyment of what was otherwise a good set-up. Unfortunately, although connecting the two units via a 5m long 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable got rid of those issues, it also resulted in too great a volume drop due to the length of the cable. However, by incorporating the headphone amplifier into the circuit (by simply plugging it into the headphone socket of the projector and running the connection cable off its output socket) all my problems dissappeared, with all the volume that I need and none of the lip-sync issues - win-win! The unit has a well made feel, and so far the battery life seems fine for a good few hours of use, so I would say go for it!

Bought this as my meta quest 3 headphones output couldn't drive my sennheiser headphones properly - no bass. Added this gadget in between and the bass is back! I didn't even need to activate the bass boost function though I imagine it would help on cheaper headphones. It's also tiny and light weight. Ran for a couple of hours and no sign of running out of charge.

I use this as a pre amp for my microphone as a indoor cycle instructor. It works perfectly. I don't like sharing microphones so I decided to have my own. Before, the mic volume could not get as high as the music volume, so to hear the mic I had to have lower music volume. (I didn't do this as I just used the gym provided items until this arrived). But now I successfully used this item at a gym and the amp did exactly what I wanted. It at least doubled the mic volume meaning that the people in my class got really good quality audio.

Very neatly packaged in a real quality case with a lovely feel to the on/off volume control. The gain is very good and takes line out to headphone ( a difficult 300 Ohm in my case) up to a deafening sound level.if needed. However be aware that the frequency response is not flat and there is a bit of design equalisation that some true audiophiles may not approve! Overall excellent value.
