Really good
Excellent devices which really work. The alarm sounded very loudly when we had water ingress and gave me extra time to try to deal with the flooding. I have them placed on the floor by our main doors and they are still working despite being in place for a year or so. They are loud enough to hear when I am upstairs so give great peace of mind.

Good useful product
Worked well in testing. Gives peace of mind. I leave a couple under some rarely seen areas that would be a problem if there was a leak that wasn't discovered for a while, under the bath, behind the washing machine, etc.

Small and simple to use
Have installed a hot water cylinder on a waterproof tray to catch any future leaks but tray would overflow if not detected soon so needed an alarm and this one, Sebson GS153, seems just right. Worked when tested and easy to turn off, no switches or buttons, just pick it up.

Great little leak detector
This is perfect for what I need, it's small and well made and has a high pitched alarm when tested on a damp towel. Another reviewer said it only sounded three time and that was it, but mine sounds three times - on and off until the damp towel was taken away, which would definately wake me. I was worried it might take up too much room, but it is actually smaller and more compact than I expected (which is good!). I have put it under our sink where we've had an issue with leaks, so I no longer need to worry of damage to the kitchen carcass from water damage. I like the fact it has a 10 year long battery and it doesn't take up too much room.

Works fine
Works fine. Tested with a slightly damp cloth and it beeped loudly until I took the cloth away over a minute later so ignore people saying it beeps briefly then stops. Battery can't be changed , says it's good for 10 years , even if I get half that I'll be happy for the price. Says it will beep occasionally when battery is dying , like a smoke alarm. All good.....happy with my purchase.

Saved me so much grief
I bought this in January following a leak from one of my ventilation units. The unit had overflowed without me realising and water had gone through the floor and in to the ceiling below. Nightmare. Anyway, I had the unit fixed but didn't trust it so purchased this sensor. 11 months later, I've been woken in the middle of the night (why do things always seem to happen at 3am?!) to the sound of loud beeping. It took me a minute to realise what the noise was because I had completely forgotten about it but this little beauty was where I had left it but sitting in a tiny puddle of water. I was able to switch off and drain the ventilation unit. I remember thinking that for such a small thing, the water sensor was pricey but I can tell you it has saved me so much headache this time round. I highly recommend it. Brilliant. Right, now back to sleep!

OK, but...
Small & sturdy, looks well built/good quality. My concern is that the electrodes that detect the water don't touch the floor surface, the feet hold them ~1mm off. This means that a thin layer of water or water that has soaked into the surface (for example water on chipboard flooring) may not set the alarm off. As a test. and to demonstrate, I put water in my ceramic/Belfast sink and then drain the water. This leaves an unmistakable and visible thin layer of water in the sink, however, the electrodes are not low enough to touch this water. My concern is that a slow leak or water being absorbed won't be detected. To resolve this I'll file the feet down 1mm.

Thankfully never had a water leakage thusfar, but for a bathroom renovation I had a temporary shower unit placed. Everything is connected to my washers watersupply and I also had to have a contraption installed to allow both shower and washer expell wastewater. I didn't feel safe it would not cause any issues (ie: possibly creating water leaks) I have a smart home solution for a lot of things, but I decided to use this Sebson: They are dirt cheap, they last long, and, most importantly: they are NOT smart devices (so they are totally independent of Wifi network, Bluetooth and Zwave). They just work even if everything is down. Sure, the battery is already active when received, but the units I received have fresh batteries (can't be replaced), but they last 10 years (I expect it will probably be shorter, I am already happy if they 5 years) Just give them a quick test and put them where needed. Forget them for 5 years, and check them again. Done! Point for improving design: the small legs are a bit too high, which means water is detected only if the 2 contacts get wet. As I want to know earlier: I sanded the legs down a bit: They alert me now, even if the leak is slow or just started. Haven't installed 6 yet, but the first three are perfect. Get them, they are cheap. What's not cheap is a leak (and that happens more often than expected!) Edit 02/11/2023: In the mean while we've had a leak behind the tiled over structure holding the toilet, hidden from sight. It was a great help detecting wet concrete. I decided to attach a length if string on top of the housing (not obscuring the buzzer openings) and lowered it down., the string, being long enough, allows me to pull it back up for inspection and testing regularly.
