Threads seem to strip when installing. So, be careful when installing. Think this is a manufacturer tolerance issue. But, they work great.

These valves have been cheapened to the point of being non functional as valves. The pipe thread connection area has been thinned down and shortened to save metal with the result that it is impossible to get a proper seal on the pipe threads even when using pipe dope and teflon tape at 40 to 50 psi. I have attached for comparison a photo comparing a good brass valve to the SS Valve. The brass valve has at least 2 to 3 more complete pipe threads for making a drip tight seal than are available in the SS valve. These SS valves are only suitable for recycle. These are Tofu Drege Valves don't buy!! None of the valves I bought held pressure all had to be replaced. Waste of time and money and resources.

Clean valve

I purchased this valve for a diesel slip tank. It was meant to isolate the fuel from the transfer pump if it needed to be replaced,but it leaks and is inadequate.
