Have bought quite a view of these, with or without the aqua-stop feature. The main plus about these is that they actually work, i.e. don't leak, which is more than I can say for just about every other hose manufacturers' connectors, having tried various makes in the past. Being aluminium, these are much sturdier than plastic. Since they are designed for any hose pipe of 3/4" diameter or less. the grips - usually the weakest link - are much larger than on the average connector and grip a lot tighter. The large size of the connector helps it work much better than other connectors.These really are worth paying the extra for, and you can find them relatively cheaply if you look around anyway.

This connector is far superior to other connectors even than the Hozelock ones. It is part metal and the plastic bits are very good quality.It's a bit more pricey but worth it as it should outlast the others. Hozelock connectors fail to clip if the water is still running.Hozelock products are pretty good quality, it isn't easy to top them and but a big margin too.

I didn't know the difference between this version and the standard connection. So I ordered both to compare. The cheaper version seems better quality so I have kept this as a spare

A very good strong connector with straight through flow. Ideal for connecting to wall mounted tap as it allows water to flow freely, whilst the strong grip holds the connector to the tap without leaks in my case.

It is a great relief to have a well made connector after my old one (the comon grey plastic type) leaded dreadfully. This one is well engineered and watertight.
