This is an after shave balm with a light smell of menthol and tea tree. The cream is absorbed quickly into the skin. I find it cooling and refreshing to use. A good cost effective replacement for my more expensive brand which was discontinued by a well known store.

Great for head shavers too, not greasy and has a great cooling feel

Quite a nice balm, doesn’t leave the face oily or sticky. Cannot detect much menthol though, only reason for dropping a star.

I wanted an aftershave balm with proper menthol in for the summer. The commonest supermarket shelf brand’s ‘cooling’ version doesn’t and you can tell as it’s barely cooling at all! I put ‘menthol aftershave balm’ in to the search bar and this came up. I like the scent of tea tree oil so thought why not. It’s actually quite a subtle tea tree scent but you can also tell that it’s a mentholated product from the scent. It is a refreshing scent. The balm is excellent in a nutshell. It’s a less runny consistency than other brands I’ve used and dries quicker than the commonest brand, which is another advantage. The cooling effect is ideal after a shave, particularly on a humid day. I could still feel it for a good 20 minutes+. I like the squeeze plastic bottle it comes in, which is easier to get the amount you want out of. I find with the other brand I would occasionally end up with too much balm coming out of the bottle - a bit like the problem with the old style glass sauce bottles! I’ll be buying this again.

I can only speak for myself. It's advertised as being calming and soothing irritation for sensitive skin. When it arrived I tried a small bit on my face. Luckily I did so as it began to sting and would not calm down. After 30 minutes I had to rinse my face several times in cold water to sooth the rash that started to develop. I also had to take an antihistamine. Over the years I have used numerous products containing menthol, tea tree oil etc, but this felt as there was a negligible amount in the product. I threw away the 'balm' and chalked it up to experience. As I stated I can only state my own reaction to this product which might have some other constituent to which I am allergic.

I like it when you buy something and it does what it claims to do. Has a mild fragrance and is easy on the skin. As somebody else on here, it does a great job moisturizing and soothing any irritation after a shave. I’d be happy to buy it again
