Just as good as OEM. only less expensive
My gas for broke. Would not stay shut. Called the manufacturer, you guessed it 3.5 times what this it's goes for. I took a chance. I'm glad i did. Well worth the money. Just as good as the OEM . Works great, looks great, and saves a ton of cash. Definitely work the money

Loud Click and Tight Fit
It works as described for my 2004 F-150 but takes some muscle to force it in place. The factory unit popped right out but this unit seems to have a lower drain hole that had to be forced into place. While trying to wrangle with it a piece of the trimming broke off while trying to find an angle that worked. Once in place everything fit as it should have and screwed back in place securely. One note about the door actuation is that when opening and closing it makes a very loud click as the tension spring snaps into place. Not a show stopper but different than the OEM part. Overall I'm pleased and glad to be rid of the factory flapper.. .

fuel door hatch very difficult to install. find a video online before attempting
This was a direct replacement for my 2005 Ford F150. The old one was extremely difficult to remove and the new one was just as difficult to install. Better instructions could have been provided. I had to find a YouTube video to get it figured out. I did have minor paint damage around the area I was installing due to my poor effort. I needed to watch a video a few times to figure out the trick to removing and installing it.

Ford F150 gas housing
I purchased this gas housing for my 2005 Ford F150. It fits, but only goes in one way. You just have to mess with it to get it to install it. If you are looking for a factory flush fit, then I would recommend getting the factory part. Even with the OEM number not a perfect fit. I have to admit I was a little disappointed on the fit.

Definitely worth the money and it works!!
I went to my Ford dealer for something else and asked them to give me a quote on how much to fix the gas cap door that no longer closed on my 2005 F-150. They told me that it was $60.00 for the part and $125.00 for labor plus tax. He went on and on about how hard it was and how it would take every bit of the hour to do. Needless to say I passed and did a search on Amazon and found this piece. Yes it is hard to install but it did not take me even close to an hour to take it out and put it in. Taking it out is easy, getting it in is hard. There is a youtube video that is great. I'd watch that a few times and for me the biggest key was to use my right hand to move the gas line out of the way as I used my left hand to wiggle the unit in to place. I then used a flat head screwdriver and a rubber mallet to help straighten it out and make it flush. Not too bad and sure beats spending $200.00 at the dealership! Oh I also would say that this unit is a little thicker than the stock unit. It was much easier to practice putting the stock unit in and out a few times to get the hang of it before successfully putting the aftermarket unit in. Hope that this helps.
