Fantastic blush for contouring!
I'm new to contouring and, as other pale girls have discovered, it's pretty hard to find a color that isn't too dark or orange. I read a lot of reviews about NYX's Taupe blush being a good contour color for pale or fair skin, and I'm happy to report that they were absolutely right! I'm so glad I bought this; it's a beautiful, natural looking color that isn't too dark or too light - it's perfect. It's blendable and also buildable if you do fancy a darker or more striking contour. But it's very pigmented and I find that a little goes a long way, so you don't need a whole lot on your brush - a light hand will do. The blush itself has a very silky texture and it's totally matte; there's no glitter or shimmer in it. The only somewhat negative thing I have to say about it is the packaging is quite small for the price. Other than that, I'm mighty impressed with NYX and I hope they continue to make this Taupe blush for all the pasty ladies like myself that want a decent, natural contour. I would highly recommend to anyone considering purchasing it! :)

Very nice blush. In person it is a little darker than pictured here but very wearable. The containers also a little small for a blush but it is still worth it.

Pale people contour holy grail
Im so pale white and have been trying to contour for years but never had any luck because it always looked like dirt on my face. This is the ONLY product i have ever used that looks like a natural shadow- a little goes a long way, im still trying to get the hang of it but it takes practice but this for sure is the color i have needed. After tons of research i found pale people using this and im so happy they found it because i would have never thought that i needed a color that looks like this instead of just a brown bronzer contour it seems like the rest of the world uses. If your contouring looks like dirt, buy this!!

Amazing Contour Shade
I had heard that this was the best contouring shade and that seems to be true! I'm quite pale with pink undertones and most contour shades look muddy or too orange on my skin. I kept reading that Taupe was the best shade for paler skintones and decided to give it a try. I would say the blush is more grey than the photos here--it literally looks like a shadow in a pan. It does take a bit of building but I prefer that to it being super loose and dramatic on first swipe. It looks so subtle but still gives definition to my face. I would note that it can fade a bit more than the cream contour I sometimes use but I expect that when comparing a powder to a cream. Also, I believe this has talc whereas the HD version does not so if you have issues with that causing irritation you may want to look at that version.Overall, I am more than satisfied with this product. I think it will be on heavy rotation for a long time.

It depends.
I feel like I got the last surviving one of its kind in the wild. This is the old taupe that everyone suggests as a cool-toned contour option. The newer version is said to be a somewhat different shade. I like this, but it needs a very light hand for my pale skin. Honestly, I probably would have preferred the newer iteration as I believe it's more gray than this one, but I can make it work well enough. As for using it as a blush, which its actual function, I can't imagine how dark someone's skin would need to be in order to use it and not have it look like a gash on your cheek. So, to sum up, a good contour for cool, pale skin and perhaps a good blush for skin tones much darker than mine.

Fortunately it was only $5 and I'm only using it ...
Just recieved this and haven't even tried it. It came to me completely damaged and all broken up. Fortunately it was only $5 and I'm only using it for Halloween makeup, so hopefully I can make it work.

Very smooth
Smooth product, but not as taupe as I had hoped. I was hoping it had more of a gray tinge to it, but it was definitely more brown which is what I was trying to avoid. I just want a taupe color like the Fawn color in the Anastasia Beverly Hills powder contour kit. It's nearly impossible to find a color that matches it. I'll still use this blush for my eyes though or cheeks as a blush instead of as a contour.

Beautiful blush....
This blush shade looks nice on my fair skin. It has a bit of luminosity to it which is beautiful. It's highly pigmented and I only need a light tap.

Plastic top was broken
I love the color and the feel of this blush but it came with the plastic top broken, as if it had been handled to roughly during the packaging.

Too light
Too light. Looks like you haven't put your blush on your cheeks.

Color not even close.
Color is way off. Not even close to photo. Got it in Pinched and it's a very deep almost fuscia pink. Mauve is too dark too.

A little darker than described!
Color was darker than pictured, but still is a nice product for the price.

Shimmery
Very soft and goes on great. Shimmery color a bit light for me. Ok to add a little shimmer to your more colored blush.
