Green and Blacks Cocoa - Organic Fair Trade 100% cocoa powder

I purchased this cocoa to blend into my daily afternoon smoothie -- just to try it. While I absolutely adore having it in my smoothie, that is like blending a fine wine with a spritzer. It's overkill for my smoothie which isn't worthy of this cocoa powder. This cocoa power is absolutely beautiful and dark; it's very rich and very smooth. If I were making hand-made chocolates or a torte, this would be the cocoa that I would use. It really is a cocoa for cooks. It's mind boggling. You receive a smallish amount, but again this is for judicious use and for making / baking a chocolate treat...and a little goes a long way. A significant amount of an inferior cocoa powder could not hold a candle to the velvety smooth yet deep chocolate flavor of this cocoa.

Good value for the money The color the health benefits the smell the energy level is good. Energy that the cocoa gives is good. I can make hot chocolate with milk or almond rice or whatever milk products I want to use. Add or not sweetener such as sugar or non-sugar sweeteners or whatever. If I want to add other stuff to my hot chocolate or brownies, I can. It also works well in brownies. It's organic, and it says what it says it is, and nothing else. Clean reliable food. Recommend.

I TEND TO BE ALLERGIC TO MILK, AND I CAN'T DIGEST SOY. THIS PRODUCT CONTAINED BOTH INGREDIENTS, AND DID NOT REALIZED IT UNTIL AFTER INGESTING IT. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION. THEY SHOULD HAVE SPECIFIED WHAT THE INGREDIENTS WERE IN BOLD.

This is a delicious cocoa powder for baking or mixing into hot milk. It is unsweetened but has a slight natural sweetness. I have learned to enjoy it with any added sweetener, thus avoiding the calories of sugar and any possible side-effects of chemical sweeteners. I tend to get heartburn easily and this is one of only two cocoa products I've found that don't give me heartburn. The other is from a store that does not have a web presence and is not local to me, so for me it is worth paying extra to get this cocoa.

This product is no longer sold in the USA. So I was glad to get it through Amazon. Most of the American cocoas that I've seen are mixes which contain dairy. I lean towards veganism so this is the only type cocoa that I wanted to deal with. It took a while to get here. When it arrived the container had a bubble wrap on it, but the contaiher had been smashed and the can had a sizeable dent in it. If you bought this can in a grocery store, it would probably be reduced due to the container damage. It still seemed though that the contents inside the container had no outside exposure. So I didn't complain and just kept it. I've used the product several times. It is a high quality cocoa. I'm satisfied and will buy again when the time comes. I think the damage to the container was a one-time fluke. Accidents happen.

Read reviews on what the best cocoa is for homemade hot cocoa mix and this one was in my price range more than others, mind you, I expected a little bigger can but used the whole can to make one batch (2 mason jars) of hot cocoa mix and this is absolutely the best tasting hot cocoa I've ever made! I will definitely order more, but a larger amount next time!

I love, hot cocoa! This cocoa is absolutely hands-down, my favorite! The cocoa is extremely fine powder with no bitter taste at all. It’s the lightest cocoa I’ve ever had with the boulders taste!

This is more like a dust - if you draw in a deep breath, you'll be wearing it, and you need to be careful in opening the container. It has a more subtle taste than what we grew up on.

Top quality and taste but 3 times the price from Amazon sellers compared to a well known posh supermarket starting with 'W' so I won't be buying it on this site again
