this is a great book, highly recommend. not only do teachers tests come from here, but it also helps on the boiler city test:)WARNING. Do not memorize these questions! these are meant for review only! you can go over them with the answer key, but do not attempt to memorize them! After reading the chapters and reviewing the key points in the textbook, I took the quizzes in the workbook. The quizzes which are a combination of multiple choice and true or false helped to cement the knowledge in my memory. Many of the questions in the workbook did show up on the special engineer boiler exam as well. It strengthened my knowledge and built my confidence and I passed the boiler test on the first attempt. While the answers are not found in the book, they can be easily found online by googling Low Pressure Boilers workbook answer key.

Have not been able to use it yet. Been trying to to buy the 3rd edition book that goes with it but the venders keep sending the 4th edition. So I haven't even taken the plastic off it yet.

Very informative, covered the basics and kept it concise. Appreciate the chapter breakdowns of the different systems that support the entire heating process utilizing low pressure steam boilers.

If you are new to the boiler, I don't suggest you to buy this book. It only have questions, no answers.
