Enjoy a delicious European tradition from the comfort of home with this handsome 12-piece fondue set, which measures approximately 8 by 8-4/5 by 9 inches fully assembled. When filled with bubbling cheese or silky chocolate and served with bread, strawberries, and other foods for dipping, the pot makes a great centerpiece during casual get-togethers or special events. Furthermore, its 40-ounce bowl holds plenty for everyone, and it can be refilled as needed. Constructed of gleaming stainless steel and fitted with cool-touch side handles for effortless transport, the set's hardy pot rests atop a sturdy metal stand for stability, beneath which lies a safety fuel burner that holds ingredients at their optimal temperature for melting. Additional highlights include a stoneware double-boiler insert for use with chocolate and cheese sauces; six stainless-steel dipping forks that come color coded, which allow family members to quickly identify their utensil; a round drip tray that catches spatters before they reach the table; and an attractive box for gifting or storage. When finished, the pot and accompanying pieces clean up nicely by hand with warm, soapy water. The 12-piece fondue set carries a five-year limited warranty.

Fon "DO"
I collect vintage fondue pots and host quite a few fondue parties a year. I spend most of the evening babysitting the flames and never really have time to enjoy myself. Usaully the flame is too hot and then I turn it off and then I have a congealed cheese clump. This pot is fantastic. It kept the cheese perfect for about a hour. I am not sure how much longer it would keep cheese warm because everyone chowed down on it so quickly. I assume it would be easy enough to light a new flame and refill the pot with more boiling water. Eveyone one was thrilled by the results and I could enjoy the party without worrying about the cheese.I also melted the chocolate right in the pot while we played a few games. It took about ten minutes to get the chocolate melted enough to dip.It holds enough cheese to feed four to five people. You do need fondue fuel but I am not sure why so many people complain about that. Most fondue pots require fondue fuel.I love it and will buy another so I can have two going at the same time!

Perfect for fondue night!
I bought this fondue set about five years ago and have used countless times for fondue night with 6-8 people, mainly cheese and sometimes chocolate. Because I moved across the country recently I've just bought a new one (second one). Unlike most people who use the fondue gel to heat this set, I usually just use tea lights. 3-4 tea lights will keep this perfectly warm without overboiling the water or worrying about evaporation. I find the gel can get really hot and probably would be great for meat fondue. As for setting up the double boiler, I fill the metal pot with water and put the ceramic pot in place so that you have the exact amount of water needed to fully surround the ceramic pot. Heat the metal pot on the stove with until it reaches near boiling point (without the ceramic pot), then place in the stand. Now with 3-4 tea lights below you will be able to keep this temperature the entire time.*** not for kids... or when you've already had your fill of wine before cheese :)

Love the dual duty bowls
All parts arrived in good condition and I was thankful for the instructions for use that also included a recipe for each type of fondue. Be sure and read the instructions for correct use of the bowls for cheese fondue--such as adding boiling water to the stainless steel bowl (acts as a double boiler). It's great to be able to do a cheese fondue followed by a meat and veggies fondue without needing two separate fondue sets. I do find the fuel dispenser difficult to adjust once it's lit and the bowl is above it, but I may just need a little more experience with it. I also need to experiment with a broth fondue more to either cut the meat thicker or have the broth hotter because the meat cooked significantly faster than the veggies. All in all, I'm very happy with this fondue set and my family enjoyed the two times I've used it. Any of my negative comments could very well just be my novice status and will be overcome with more fondue practice!

Wish it was bigger.
This is a five cup, most fondue recipes I found were about six. My bf and I took a 5 cup recipe and cut it in half and it still made a fondue. The burner worked fine, it took awhile to light because you can't use lighters. It would only work if you had long matches or even lit cardboard. The fondue stayed hot and seemed to work well.

Great cheap fondue pot; Double boiler is great.
I did a lot of research on fondue pots before buying one for my wife as a present. I didn't want electric, as we'll only be using it for chocolate and cheese fondues, and nothing that requires high heat(coq au vin, oil, etc). I narrowed my search to this item because of the price, the double boiler, and the reviews. It did not disappoint! Sure, it does need the gel fuel, but that's not really an issue and Amazon has it here for a decent price as well. Beyond that, the ceramic double boiler is heavy, and holds enough fondue for at least two hungry people, definitely more for a party. All in all, this is a great bargain fondue pot. You can spend more and get a nicer pot that will last forever, but as far as budget goes, this is on point.

Great for an inexpensive fondue pan
I didn't want to spend a lot on a fondue set because I wasn't sure how often we'd use it. This set fit the bill perfectly. It does come with a ceramic pan so it is good for chocolate or cheese fondue in addition to the hot oil fondues. It is light, but well balanced. It takes gel fuel and the fuel pod has a way to adjust the heat. That's handy! It heats evenly and the fuel lasts long enough for a meal, although I don't think it would last long enough for this to be used for much longer than that.

Okay for occasional use
This is a pretty light weight setup. The ring that is supposed to hold the forks in place is too loose, and the pot itself is rather small. It does okay (without the holding ring) for infrequent use, but I'd recommend a better pot if you fondue often.

great fondue pot!
This is a great multipurpose fondue pot. I've used it for both cheese fondue (with the insert), and broth fondue (without the insert). Both work well and it keeps a consistent temperature. The forks that come with it are good, but are a little cheap; they bend easily.
