** Update! I am now almost 3 months in on using this soap. Im going to be 100% honets because HS is no joke. I have relapsed with my cysts with this soap. It is by no means a solution. You know we can hope here lol. I will say this, it helped me bounce back from the relapse/breakout way faster than on my own. The flair ups I had while using the soap has been a little bit bigger than not. Meaning the flair up cysts where bigger using the soap but the flair ups are much less frequent. I am mean hey, for walking in tremendous pain all the time, ill take it. It works much much better if you let the soap lather up in the shower and then sit on your problem areas for about 60 seconds. I know with me after that first 60 seconds I start to feel a burn and immediately wash of fear of making everything worse. It works but its not a means to an end and the break outs are worse with the soap but much less frequent and clear up faster. We can't win with this skin disease but we wont stop fighting either. Happy Holidays everyone If you have HS listen up. HS is super painful and hard to manage. Thr smell is awful but its magic. I dont say that lightly either. Ive tried almost everything under the sun to keep my HS manageable. EMUAID worked ok for a month till I built up immunity and for $60 a jar its expensive too. Ive been using this soap for 5 days now and ive had more progress with this soap in days than ive had with anything ive tried ever. Including Emuaid. Now I hope I dont build up immunity like I have with every other product but if your in pain and its become unmanageable, you need this in your life!!! The smell means nothing when you can walk without pain or use your arms without pain too! Hs sucks but this helps!! I refuse to get mine lanced they leave huge scars and dents. This is the best stuff I've tried for my HS

Very unusual to receive expensive soap with sticker directly on the soap and in a cellophane package. I ordered this soap because I saw it in a video that it's the soap that Marilyn Monroe used. It definitely does not have a perfume smell but more of a medicinal smell that's not horrible. Debating on whether to return it or not, I'd have more confidence that it is the original soap if it came in its own box. 2/17/25 adding to my original review. This "carbolic" (still not sure it's genuine carbolic) soap is growing on me. I feel really clean after using it on my whole body but it leaves no scent on my skin so I guess I'm not going to smell like Marilyn Monroe. Doubt if I reorder again.

I really love this soap. It cleans very very well in controlling any body oders. It lathers really well. And I personally enjoy the smell. To me it's mild and nice. Will buy again. It's also a soap that is harder than usual so it will last a while and not melt away.

I really like this soap.. has a great lather.. doesn’t over dry skin leaving you feeling very clean.. the only disappointing thing is that the wonderful clean sent is very soft and doesn’t last very long. Also the color of the soap means red bleeding in the shower. It is easy to clean though.

While I surely won't say it's cured me of the knots in my pits (hidradenitis suppurativa), but it has done more to alleviate the discomfort and bring to surface some of the cysts than anything else I've tried (diet change, tea tree oil, hot compresses, etc). I've also been washing my face with this,and my skin has cleared up considerably (that's saying a lot considering I'm pregnant and totally hormonally acne'd up!). The smell is hard to get around at first. It really offended my senses...reminds me of rubber plumbing supplies, but it either dissipates or I got used to it really quickly. Nobody has complained or commented on the scent of this soap. I do keep this in a separate soap dish so the soap and the red won't drip anywhere, but I just did that as foresight rather than actually having any issues with that.

The first time I bought this product, I found my favorite soap for my skin issues. The second time I bought this product I got a soap that smelled so bad. That no amount of bags can mask it. I'm returning it asap. Its horrible and disgusting like chemical waste or fuel. Something went wrong with the identical batch of soap, that looks 100% the same, but smells like pollution.

I bought this soap to help with my holistic treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. At first I must say I was a little skeptical, but after reading the reviews on here (esp. the one's from others with HS) I am thrilled that I took a chance with this product! It's been a few months now and I must say that my flare ups have decreased and become slightly less painful with the use of this soap daily. I used to get horrible itching in my armpits but now that has gone away completely. This soap keeps my pits hydrated and soft without drying them out too much. Due to my HS, I have refrained from using deodorant, so I am very pleased with it's deodorizing capabilities. This soap keeps me smelling fresh all day long even with sweating. I have even began noticing my old scars and dark discoloration on my armpits clearing up as well. I will definitely continue to use this faithfully and recommend to all with my skin condition.
