Hummus with sun dried tomatoes

Hummus spread is one of the most popular mediterranean dips. It has been traditionally prepared using chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), garlic, lemon juice and oil. To go beyond the classic recipe we added sun dried tomatoes, cumin and extra virgin olive oil to create a luscious and robust pate with a creamy texture and warm flavour.

Hummus is a healthy alternative to other spreads or dips, such as mayonnaise or cheese sauces, as it is rich in protein, fiber and healthy fat.

Use our Hummus Spread as a pasta dressing: thin hummus with olive oil, then toss with cooked pasta spirals, diced olives, chopped parsley, and ground fresh pepper. Serve hummus as a green salad dressing or accompany grilled vegetables, boiled broccoli and boiled eggs. Our Hummus is great to make sandwiches for your lunchbox or picnic basket, or simply to serve with breadsticks, crackers, pita and crusty bread. You can also use it as an alternative vegetarian pizza sauce topped with fresh veggies and feta cheese.
